So my daughter a seventh grader got her ass kicked by a freshman yesterday. My daughter slapped her younger brother cause he was messing with her friend then when confronted by her older sister my daughter slapped her too and then got her ass handed to her. I’m ok with that. I told my daughter to avoid drama and she ran head on into it and got what was coming to her. However all the little shits standing around got out their phones and recorded the whole thing and posted it on their stories immediately. A couple kids broke it up and I commend them.

I hate that shit. My daughter can accept that she got her ass kicked cause she was out of line. But the mental damage from being humiliated by all these little fuckers thinking it’s a big fun show watching a little girl getting beat down!!! That pisses me off more then anything. It seems the first reaction by most people anymore when an emergency situation arises is to get out their phones instead of helping out. Then making a mockery of it.

I really want the school to do an investigation of who posted this crap all over the internet. That hurts worse then the ass kicking. And it’s straight up online bullying. I’ve heard of kids committing suicide because of shit like this. Especially at a middle school age when their lives are already being turned upside down by hormones they don’t know what to do with.

Man I feel the same way. I don’t relate or act anything like how this world is going. Im very old school. Even when I was little I was always around older guys. Even now I’m. 29 and out of all the 26 guys on this job site in our crew I’m the youngest hahaha everyone else is late 30s and up. I enjoy it tho. I make sure to take care of the old guys and do the work for em. They respect that :muscle:t3:😎

I have no kids, so Take my opinion for what it is… but unfortunately today’s world, part of stepping out of line and getting an ass kicking is getting it filmed.

Can’t control anyone else’s actions… her lead to getting her ass whooping filmed… but I’ve never had to deal with my daughter being embarrassed so it’s easy for me to see it as the same thing.

I suppose it’s part of it nowadays. But I don’t want to accept it. It’s in humane. Cops arrest the wrong people in my opinion. When I grew up you stepped on someone toes you got your ass handed to you and aside from a few comments here and there out of jest it was over. DONE! Sometimes we even became friends afterwards.

Ay I just figured they put in there time and this shits rough so I might as well take care of em. Hope fully someone will do the same for me when I’m old an can barely move from busting my ass so much :man_shrugging:t3:🤣

Unfortunately that world is long gone. Which is why no matter what’s said to me I just walk away. In this world it’s gonna be filmed and used against you 10 years from now. Just not worth it anymore.

I’m glad I never had to share any of my loses with the world like that, fuck those kids videotaped the fight. I’ve got a baby right now and my biggest concern is the world she’s going to be growing up in, which I’m sure has been the case for most parents regardless of year or location. The social media stuff is poison but how do I protect her from it while not turning her into an outcast or outsider. I’m stumped. I guess I’ll just take it as it comes.

I hate it too. But not much I can do to change it, and spending time trying to control other people’s actions just leads to madness. So all i know to do is accept that it’s an unfortunate reality.

Me neither. That’s the problem. It’s just something I’m going to have to figure out and shoot from the hip.

I believe in karma. And that’s a great way to look at it. But even when I was your age not all the young guys thought that way. Many more then now. But not all
