I can’t believe Secret Service didn’t see the “sniper” lying in the open. A PFC infantryman has more sense.
I vote it was intentional- not a real hit. Who the fuck misses a ballon sized target at 140m with a modern rifle and optics. Guys are hitting paper plates at 600m with factory rifles outta the box. My 8 year old shoots better that that clown.

Both sides shooting over the ridge. Now the DDM or counter snipers didn’t show much experience. Took 42 seconds from time they spotted him.
The guy on left gets impatient and keeps going off scope. Guy on right is shooting low over a ridge meaning the other guy needs to get up higher for a clean angle.

Another issue I have with this personally is that ridge the shooter is hiding behind is a vent. It’s concealment not cover and they could have shot thru that with ease. Even if not a clear shot it would have forced him to move where the other DDM could take him. At that point the other detail would hear the shots and move the president.
This is either a bunch of small things coming together accidentally or a series of very well planned events that came off seamlessly.
