boys - gut health is one of my biggest concerns. I feel that all our ailments are dictated by what we eat and how we digest them.

please recommend the digestive enzymes you use and why? I am taking bromaline and cla. are there any others you feel would help me keep my gut health in check? oh also i take metamucil every night, keeping myself regular so to speak

thanks in advance boys

to be honest, I feel much better using metamucil. but i understand its just fibre. I was hoping people could shed light on the benefits of taking these Digestive enzymes. People swear by it and like you said they really enjoy it. Just wanna know if theres real science behind it and if its something that is noticeable after a long time of use, like gh

Reactions: TBU
  • Honey, especially the raw kind, has amylase and protease.
  • Mangoes and bananas have amylase, which also helps the fruit to ripen. Eat ripe fruit. Not green
  • Papaya has a type of protease called papain.
  • Avocados have the digestive enzyme lipase.
  • Sauerkraut, or fermented cabbage, picks up digestive enzymes during the fermentation process.
These are all natural digestive enzymes.

As far as supplements, I used to be a probiotic guy, but more and more research makes this a snake oil like @Bigmurph stated

Fiber help you :poop: so of course you feel better. 😂. It also has colon cleaning properties and helps with colon health. It’s a good one for sure.

Fiberlyze from Species nutrition definitely helps as does betaine hcl. Check out what Charles Poliquin wrote about HCL very useful information. Also just a solid brand like life extension or now for a basic digestive enzyme supplement. Get em at the Vitamin Shoppe and try em out. If you don’t notice shit halfway through the bottle return it and get protein powder or whatever. I do it occasionally to try new shit risk free

I worked with Charles for 15 years, that guy knee supplementation. Natural and other. Lol
