Haha all good. Overall severely restrictive calorie diets have been in the front of mind as I have a friend currently doing a pretty popular one that I would NEVER recommend.
It’s ultimately a cookie cutter diet where you are forced to buy their “supplemental fuelings” and are to immediately restrict calories to a TOTAL of 800-1000 daily. That is insane and is being advised to people very obese and close to 300 lbs. Sure you will definitely lose weight if you follow it, but the diet will completely wreck your metabolism and there is no way you are going to maintain that total calorie intake long term, which is why it fails in almost all of them (these crash diets are nothing new and keep getting repackaged in different ways). Let alone the diet costs over $400 per month since you have to buy all their crap. Also they push all in the program to be “coaches” even though these people have zero background in nutrition or health. I can’t get behind that type of diet model…caused some friction but if you ask for my opinion on a diet and given I do have the degrees and background to back up my views with actual scientific literature you are going to get the truth.
