Carnivore diet and my results so far

The wife and I have started this diet and following it to the word. It has been 1 week of nothing but meat and meat by products. I am down 8lbs so far. I’m not hungry there are 0 carbs and 0 sugars in my diet. Has anyone else tried this diet? My wife wants to get to the keto diet eventually. I am coo with where I’m at. All comments and thoughts appreciated!
 
Carnivore diet meaning just straight meat protein nothing else or are you eating other foods?

I imagine that you can start to feel backed up eating just meat protein are you using probiotics or something?
How does the carnivore diet plan work out is it really 100% meat and no more?
 
Yea just meat and meat by products. Hard cheese and black coffee, water and tea. With nothing in the coffee or tea. Yes I’m taking a multivitamin a salt pill/electrolyte as well as potassium and magnesium. As for being backed up not at all 1x a day and feel great. Gas is gone I’m not bloated and or tired and well over a gallon of water a day.
 
I ran keto fro a long time it’s a really good diet but essentially what your doing is keto just not the few leafy greens that are allowed.
 
Well I was 203 with alot of fat dropped to 173 in about a month. Then just maintained I’m sitting at 182 now leanest I’ve ever been. I’ve been doing a clean diet, but debating on going back to keto just for the flavor.
 
I am probably 245 6”2 41yr old. I haven’t seen under 200 since before 2000. I would like to do this and lean and lift and then maybe maintain afterwards to be good for beach season🤣
 
That’s my plan to brother. The advantage of the carnivore diet and keto is it’s high protein so you stay full longer but at the same time your always in a calorie deficit. It’s hard to eat over with meats or for me it is.
 
I love carnivore with exception of some of the stuff people make. I don’t like the bone broth and all that crap. I mix my weeks up a bit with strict carnivore and keto. Keto is where I’ll eat more dairy like cheeses. Additionally I’ll add a cheat meal in every 2 weeks now. That’s usually when I’m seeing family and such. Health wise it feels amazing.

There’s a big difference in carnivore at the core and keto. Keto allows for x amount of carbs daily and choices like dairy. Carnivore is no dairy and no carbs. No lo carb keto choices. If youre really wanting to take advantage of it then throw all your meals into a 5-6 hour window per day and fast the rest.

Eat some steak and eggs for breakfast, chicken breasts or fish later. Right before ending fast then eat again.
 
Interesting I would have thought with nothing to help with digestion it would eventually become an issue but the body was made to digest meat.
 
We are working towards that it is just hell as our hours differ. I work 6-2 then gym and home NLT 5. So I can eat and do it but I’m sticking with her so she doesn’t stray. She’s a Coca Cola addict! So far so good she wanted the change so I jumped with her. Hard cheese is my friends. Breakfast is eggs. Steak and bacon. Lunch is leftover dinner today was cod and dinner tonight is streak eggs and chicken stir fry type. Like I said she’s the cook! I have don’t the intermittent fasting before amazing results. I have also noticed very little has on this diet. I like what you are doing with keto and carnivore flip. I think I might try that at I’m the end of my 3 months.
 
Watch out for keto acidosis and get on Amazon to check for keto urine testing strips. You can blow your kidneys real ricky tick that way
 
Dude. Check out rob green and his podcast keto for bodybuilders. The fats we get are from meats, and maybe mct, and every so often. A salad or something. I eat 300 grams protein, 30 net carbs, and 125 or less on fat. Lost 20 pounds in a month.

Best part. One day a week carb refeed which resets thyroid and other hormone production. It’s been wonder. Check him out
