I use to buy bodybuilding magazines frequently when I was in my early 20s. I was naive enough to believe I could look like a pro through diet, exercise and a little supplementation. I actually think I benefited from it because I maximized everything I had naturally, believing that it was the way.

Gear always makes my ldl skyrocket and HDL bottom out. Double negative. I did some research and stuff like Dbol can kill your cholesterol numbers fast. I try eating healthy and taking good supplements that are tested by third parties but it doesn’t seem todo quite enough to reverse the numbers. Obviously when you come off cycle it corrects itself but what about the damage done while on cycle. @NeuroRN did a thing on cialis and studies show that taking cialis prevents the bad cholesterol from building plaque on your artery walls. I asked my doc and she said he is accurate. So we have the bad cholesterol floating around in our blood but it’s not able to do the damage it normally does. I’m not saying it’s a cure all and we can be all Willy nilly with our cholesterol because we are taking cialis. We should still be just as serious about our cholesterol on or off cialis. It’s more of a preventative measure if gear affects your cholesterol like it does mine. Is this accurate @NeuroRN ?

Ahhhh the trap by supplement companies. You’re not the first or last one buddy. As @Bigmurph has stated before it’s a multi billion dollar UNREGULATED industry.

In the movie “outlaw josie wales” there was a snake oil salesman…an episode of the “andy griffin show” had one too. They’re everywhere. Skinny teenage boy takes this or that and will be ronnie coleman…

Fortunately there are some companies that deliver a good product that does what it says it does or contains what it says it does.

Ordered CoQ10, Tudca(250 Mg), Taurine(1000 Mg) & Liv-52 (375 Mg). They will be a part of any future cycle and most of the rest of the time also…

Have to love same day & overnight delivery from Amazon…

Thanks to everyone that responded…

I just want to say everybody keep buying fish oils omega blends and and the likes cause I want to keep lybjob

Var will always drop your HDL. Add in omega 3 about 3-5 grams as tolerated and that should help HDL. As for Supps I like Thorne research. I use 3 for healthy lipids all year, choleast, Berberime and Meriva. They call it healthy lipid bundle. Throne is a very reputable company and certified for sport. So they’ve spent a lot of money to get that cert. I was fortunate enough to train the CEO for a while and another good friend is a rep. Top notch

Hey guys, just thought I would follow up and say thank you. I made some immediate changes that seems to have had a huge impact on my Cholesterol numbers. I immediately dropped the Anavar & Deca, and added most of the items suggested. I added Tudca, Taurine, CoQ10, Liv-52 & Flaxseed oil. It had a major impact in just a little over a month.

Original Numbers (old)
Total: 201 (this is ok)
TriGlycerides: 242 (jumped high, should be <150)
HDL: 31 (dropped significantly, should be > 40)
LDL: 131 (Should be < 100)
CHOL/HDLC Ratio: 6.5 (should be < 5.0)

New Numbers
Original Numbers (old)
Total: 163
TriGlycerides: 152 (should be <150)
HDL: 43 (should be > 40)
LDL: 95 (Should be < 100)
CHOL/HDLC Ratio: 3.8 (should be < 5.0)

As you can see, the numbers greatly improved. My test results also seemed to have increased Estrodial (90) and my test numbers were 2060.

I have a question about the Estrodial. Should I increase my Anastrozole? I currently take 1/2 tablet (0.5 mg) twice a week. I was thinking maybe I should temporarily increase that to a full tablet to try and reduce the Estrodial a bit. Or alternatively, is this level not an issue?

I also wanted to start the Anavar up again (without the Deca). I think it was the combination of not monitoring my blood close enough and not adding the appropriate supplements to offset some of the cholesterol issues. I am also taking TRT doses of Test of course. I have enough Anavar for a 10-12 week cycle, and I did have a noticeable reduction in gains when I dropped both the Deca and Anavar.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Anavar is what messed up your cholesterol to begin with if you use it again the same thing will happen again

Your estrogen is still increasing because decca lasts forever and has estrogenic activity especially with testosterone so your levels might have still gone up it takes forever to get decca out of your system.

I can’t help with arimidex I don’t use it so someone else will have to help with that

My opinion only. Is your goals (taking anavar) worth it?

If your bloodwork comes back with “tolerable” cholesterol levels, it might be.

If not… then is the juice worth the squeeze?

Thanks guys. I was actually wondering if it was the the combination of the Deca + Anavar + not adding any of the recommended supplements. I wanted to try just the Anavar, leave the Deca out. Your right, it may not be worth the effort but I’m thinking of trying a cycle of just adding the Anavar while very closing monitoring my bloodwork…

Its not the combination its the Anavar.
I just wanted to make sure that you did understand that the Anavar definitely caused your cholesterol issues.

@Bigmurph is telling you straight

That’s the big risk with anavar is messing your cholesterol up.

You probably know that. Out of control cholesterol can drag you down a rabbit hole.
