Congrats to the new Mr Oylmpia Shawn Rhoden

He beat Phil in every aspect except for back. It was easily the clear winner. Word is Phil had a breakdown backstage afterwards. Prompting his girlfriend to post this to her instagram.

Shawn is humble and a great ambassador to the sport. Also came in as the oldest or second oldest to win the Mr O. Sincerely wish him the best in his upcoming years.

You are seeing the “change” expected in the competitive industry… more symmetry and less blockiness. First happened with the woman 3-4 years ago and now with men. Shawn was in ridiculous shape and very deserving!

The best man on that day won and is the way it should be! Heath has been getting worse year after year trying to play the mass game and has lost his symmetry plus his midsection has become more blocky. Rhoden looked amazing and was well deserving of the win! And like @GlycogenGuy guy said new blood is good for the sport makes it exciting again

Do you think it’s his time to make a run like Heath and Wheeler ect or is it one time?

Honestly, Shawn Rhoden has been around for a while and he’s 43. It’s simply amazing that he was able to pull this off at his age. I think he has the genetics and will power to make it happen but I think this just made the other guys hungrier to see a new champ so I think he’ll have his work cut out for him.

I think he is at the end of his career and it might be hard to make a long run starting at 43 no doubt looked his very best and got it done but theres a lot of yound talent on his ass!

Something else to consider. This Shawn back in 2008 when we suffering with alcoholism after the loss of his father.

Who would have seen him back then and think in 10 years he would be Mr Olympia.
