Our very own @Dirtnasty has put another one in the books.

He turned in an (over) 1955 total for the tops in is class and the overall meet win. This is his 2nd powerlifting performance.

EDIT official numbers it’s 705.5 523.6 and 733 1962 TOTAL

To put it in perspective… he competed raw which is no supportive equipment (bench shirts, squat suits). I don’t think he wrapped his knees.

Competing on the platform is waaay different than gym lifting. All of the lifts are scrutinized by 3 judges and there are specific commands that have to be followed. A completed lift without following commands is a fail. One little foot shuffle on the bench is a fail.

With 3000lbs being the unicorn of totals… a 2000lb total is considered the gold standard by seasoned and/or professionals….to include geared lifters. @Dirtnasty is right there at it on his second time out.

That big fella has got some decisions to make… continue PLing or crossover to BBing….

Thanks yeah I’m told even sleeves would 40’to my squat but I like naked knee. If I didn’t strain quad that 2000 was mine I looked up my total would be the 25 highest in my weight division this year in all the feds so not bad. The poeple running it were so happy for me when I got my numbers in the books

No and my quad almost feels back to 100. Now I’m not goigntomsqyat with weight on it tomorrow but it doesn’t hurt tombend anymore and I don’t grimace standing up from sitting. I may have loaded up quads with too much oils leading into meet
