Dealing with bicep tendinitis

Hey guys/girls. Just throwing out a question to see if anyone else is dealing with a similar injury and what has been your treatment, experience with recovery. I recently injured myself in the gym. Turns out it’s bicep tendinitis. Initially I wasn’t sure what it was, so I rested for a few weeks, felt better and resumed training. It became inflamed again, so I say a PT, and was told it was BT. Is this something that is permanently fixable, or am I just going to have to deal with this the rest of my life? If there’s anyone here who is a PT please feel free to chime in.
Thanks

For me the bicep tendonitis has been lingering for years. never really too bad, but just a nagging soreness. I have to avoid preacher curls and go lite on regular curls.
Burrr

Yeah, what sucks for me is that my arms have always been pretty big, now I can barely train them. When I use lighter weight, it’s not too painful, but heavy weight is out of the question. I’m a little bummed about it to be honest with you

Since I ruptured my bicep the tendinitis is horrible. My doctors want to do inj I don’t because it will just be a band aid then it will get worse.
If it gets that bad I will use ibuprofen

I had to change my whole way I trained no heavy lifting ,more reps less weight. You won’t see me ever maxing out lol
I did use hgh and my tendons feel stronger since but the tendinitis didn’t go away. I can lift heavier but not like before the injury and I just deal with the pain knowing that its going to happen and I can’t use opioid pain killers so my only goto is ibuprofen 800mgs. It sucks!!

I also wanted to add that taking alot of ibuprofen is horrible for your liver and kidneys.
Try to only take it when you really need it or you will need a transplant.
My doctor gave me an anti inflammatory that was supposed to be stronger than ibuprofen but it didn’t do shit

That’s what I’m doing, lighter weight. But sometimes the pain is insane. Seems like every day is leg day when you can’t use your bi’s, lol. My legs are quickly becoming my best body part. Not because I like training them but because they recover fast and I can hit them a few times/week

Consider giving Ciccus a go. Easy on the liver and has some good anti-inflammatory properties. It’s called ‘the bone setter’ supplement but it work pretty well for me as an anti-inflammatory.

Even if it has only mild benefits for you personally at least it will get you off of some of the ib.

I only do hammer curls now, differing variations … stoped straight bar and preachers years ago… cable with a rope doesn’t agitate too drastically as well…like others (in our 40s… lighter weight, higher volume)! Getting old sucks…lol

Hammer curls are also good for me so just that turn of the arm helps.
In physical therapy I did a exercise with a pole weighted on each end and would spin my forearm back and forth. This stretch would help a bit.

I used to have very bad bicep tendonitis pinched nerves through the scapula and in general tendonitis running down my entire arm I hired a movement coach and it has done wonders for my lifts and I am virtually pain free …

The movement coach and you worked on your form? This really helped?
Im honestly open because after the bicep injury ive just dealt with it and it really sucks and if it were just my form needing adjustments that would be great

that’s what I paid him to do and Yes it helped immensely

if you want his contact info he does it online for a lot of athletes … I haven’t actually ever met him lol
