Deca or NPP…Debate Cont…

Ok, so there is always a debate with Deca versus NPP when it comes to which someone should run.

I have NEVER run Deca, but have run NPP a few times with Mast & Test with fairly modest numbers and peaked results +/- running for 16 weeks.

Was going to do another run of NPP/Mast/Test, but was debating on replacing NPP with Deca and running Mast E and my normal Test C at obviously a bit higher than my normal HRT dose, but not sure if swapping NPP with Deca makes sense, other than the fact that so many folks have run it 8,000 times and swear by it for nice slow gains over a nice long run.

Most my cycs are test, deca, proviron, superD.Mainly I pick deca over Npp cause it means less pinning.Although it would seem to make sense to pick the Npp over deca since it’s bioavailability is higher. So if u already have all the Npp I wouldn’t switch to deca…

I’ve run it multiple times at 300mg a week and I’ve always gotten great results and makes you look extremely full just don’t eat like crap. Makes you feel strong and also a lot of my pains in general went away over time and came back when I came off. I’ve used npp before as well but just didn’t see the results and I also hate having to pin npp more frequently. Deca just makes more sense for me and I love it. If you haven’t used it try it because you might like it better than npp.

Yeah, I think that it’s popularity is due to it being less pinning frequency, along with it being something has lots of research to back a tried and true product. I mainly did the NPP with a few of those cycles to try and avoid the Blair that everyone has complained about, but I now realize that it’s all going to depend on my diet anyway.

I think since I’m going to run Mast E and Test C versus Mast P and Test P, then I might as well give Deca a shot and just pin M, W, F.

I usually run NPP at 450, Test at 350, and Mast at 450…So Deca at 450 may be too high, I am guessing??

yea I would say that deca at that dose is a little high. or maybe just for me, I would stay at about 1cc a week but then again everyone is different. sorry for the late response work has really been a pain.

For off season I like deca. Cutting I like NPP. Deca is real good for putting on size and strength. Great for the joints too.

I have been at a crossroads for putting on size, although have not lost any strength. Was sitting happily at 220-223 and last Dexa cut to 216 and lost 4lbs of muscle somehow.

Ok, so most who know me on here, know that I try to keep my diet/macros in check and not eat like crap. I also track that every 6-8 weeks via Dexa scans.

I most likely know what the answer to “Do not eat like crap” is, but wanted to get a consensus definition, since to me…Eating like crap reminds me of the folks back in the day that did “dirty” bulks and shoveled all kind of fast food in!

Are we saying that “eat like crap” means garbage with zero cares to what you’re eating, as long as you’re shoveling tons of calories in to bulk…But, eating pizza and occasional garbage processed foods are ok, as long as your diet stays fairly consistent with the standard tuna, lean chicken, lean steak, rice, potatoes, veggies, etc.??

Just wondering what a general consensus is, because that’s what I feel like eat like crap means!

The following is my opinion only:

I don’t consider this eating like crap. If you’re an active competitor bb’r then yeah meet prep and the ramp up will be way more stringent than the average meathead.

I consider the once (or twice) a week indulgence to be just a sanity saver. I know that dietary diligence will make you or break you but one night a week of pizza and beer won’t be the death penalty. Now…18 beers and a large pizza might be overdoing it but a reasonable amount isn’t so bad. An occasional donut at work won’t kill ya.

My personal experience: I drilled down for 6 months and dropped my a1c at 3 months and again at the 6 month mark. I strayed very little… like a “once a month” small indulgence. I dropped bf and had great labs BUT BUT I was one miserable SOB. I couldn’t sustain that for the rest of my life. I went on ozempic earlier this year with the mindset that …” an occasional once or twice a week indulgence” won’t hurt. I’ve worked a very long time and want to enjoy life and everything in it to include some great food. The ozempic has allowed me to eat pretty much whatever I want in much smaller portions. For instance; two slices of pizza rather than most of a large….one big cheeseburger rather than two.

Everyone is different and I’m not lecturing. Just trying to find MY way with balance.

I would could consider what I do eating like crap for bb but correct for pl. I usually have one meal a day that’s not a strict diet meal. Then again dave polumbo swore on having McDonald’s everyda
For growth haha

Also correct for pl in my weight class if I was in situation where I had to cut them I eat like crap

This is exactly how I feel about the situation! I was never going to be a stage competitor and neither was wife, but we went on a tangent a few years ago and leaned out like crazy people and we’re both super unhappy, because we weren’t enjoying our wine on weekends and pizza on Friday or Saturday. Fast forward about 3 years to now and we both have literally only put on about 1-2% BF back according to Dexa scans consistently through year and enjoy what we enjoy. We feel great and I think we look great, but this is coming from two middle age folks who will never step on stage. You hit the nail, both of you @Poppy @Dirtnasty

Being happy is the key what’s the point of being super lean if your miserable the whole time now if looking that way is what makes you happy then go for it

Eating like crap to me is having in n out like 4 times a week two double doubles and two fries and a Coke Zero. All that builds up and makes me feel like a slug. Definitely don’t do it anymore. But I also feel like if I never would have done that my size wouldn’t be where it is today and my strength that’s another story I’m wayyyyy stronger than I was before and less pain but that’s because of the deca……
