Diary of a middle aged, fat, broken mans comeback

Did you try giving her a massage or taking her out on a date and making her feel like you are her number one fan? I forget sometimes to do that kind of stuff but it usually pays off big for me.
 
Damn straight I will have Saturday ls off after accepting a new job today so I’m pumped
 
@Rusty No, not a lot of places either of us will go besides the gym with all the Covid bullshit going on. We used to do date nights every week, I’m pigeon holing some money so when all this shit is over I can take her on a vacation since we didn’t do anything this year.

@Dirtnasty congratulations man, hopefully it’s a good move for you!
 
Try the massage. Make her dinner do the chores she usually does. Not all the time just sometimes. See what happens keep me posted !!!
 
More money but father commute and i will be getting off late at night early morning. But it’s Monday through Friday. I won’t mind if I do work Saturday’s cause time and half.

@Rusty I’m the only one that cooks in this house, we’d starve otherwise. Much like our daughters, my wife has the attention span of a flea… I’ll try the massage, her last night of working this week is tomorrow, so I’ll see what Wednesday brings
 
@Dirtnasty hell yeah man! The commute sucks, that’s the worst part of my job, however I will take it if it keeps me from having to travel again for a while. Working on the road sucks, I never had a good experience working out of state, I’d prefer not do it again until the last kid is out of the house and the wife can come with
 
I did find gym right down the street was hoping it was going to be powerlifting forward with a name like armory but nope just regular strip mall gym. I think if I’m going to do competition I need a place where I can really get the proper training
 
They don’t have the deadlift bars to handle where I’m trying to go hahaha
 
@Dirtnasty yes, if you’re going to do a competition, you definitely need to find a gym with like minded people to help push you. You can get some good workouts in regular run of the mill gyms though. The only thing you really want to try and avoid is the damn rubber coated plates. I remember many years back one of the commercial gyms around here let us start a powerlifting area in the back, we had a mastodon squat bar, oakie deadlift bar, monolift and competion bench, we would do our big lifts in the back and then do all assist lifts out on the gym floor, when there were too many people going back there sometimes you would have to squat or deadlift out on the floor with the damn rubber coated plates, and you could always go about 100 lbs heavier, because none of them weighed 45 lbs, they were all on average 5 lbs light, some even more! Find a gym with good steel plates, or even Kilo plates that are certified, but if you have to train in an any time fitness, do it, it’s still better than nothing
 
Not sure if it’s lack of working out this week due to working ridiculous hours, or my meds not working… I gotta get my fucking meds figured out, this week has been bad, lots of bad thoughts, lots of anger and anxiety, lots of yelling at my family for no reason… like I’m in my 20’s again and on Tren
 
Working out is a huge stress release. I get kind of frustrated and easily aggravated when I’ve missed a workout or two myself.
 
Been kind of an up and down week. Still in a funk, did my chest workout at home on Monday, mostly stretching, but also did some presses on a machine which was kind of nice, made my chest and tris feel like I actually did something. Last night I was in a terrible fucking mood, so I rocked out to hatebreed the whole way home, with a little VARG mixed in to really put me in a mood, stopped at my buddy’s gym and pulled 315 x 5 x 2 … the fat smelly guy asking me spot him on squats pushed me over the edge, so I left.

I also decided yesterday that I would really like to hate fuck the safety lady’s face holes… but that’s just a side note
