Not that long but I’ve been using the 531 principles for basically the past 4 years. Illikeninsaid I’ve gotten away from trying to explode off floor almost feels like I’m trying to to sldl everything. Just did some work with 405 and I haven’t moved it ground like that in awhile. How can I expect to be explosive on working sets if I’m not warming up the muscles that way
Makes sense im not saying you’re wrong brother I just believe that you can benefit from a change.
I honestly would love to see you get a legitimate coach but its pricey. It would help coaches are always good to have especially once you hit your level.
Yeah would have to go the online route there is nobody in this area to help me def once it’s prep time I willl be shopping around. I almost wonder if I stopped the explosive movement to focus on no straps. Doesn’t matter how caus e straps are back and hgh starts tonight hope it helps with getting better sleep again still struggle during day
I bet its hard getting good sleep working at night.
You have to try ear plugs and a mask completely blackout everything it might help if you can sleep like that I can’t
I had to start using a mask. It comes off most days but it helps fall asleep. And I got one you can put ice packs on the eyes. I think it’s for some cosmetic reason but damn is it nice in the middle of summer.
I struggled to sleep at night as well I just got overactive brain. May see doctor about getting prescribed sleeping aids again. I had a slight anti anxiety that starts with t for a while it helped some
Maybe play with accommodating resistance? Get a band…attach it on each end and stand on the center. Shave some weight and do doubles exploding off the floor. With the weight you can deadlift, you’ll need several heavy bands for sure.
It does seem now that I can bench again my dead’s have started to go down. Just need to regroup not worry about worthy and get back to great form and press on floor instead of just levering up
My opinion only… I believe you’ve got the brute strength you need for all 3 lifts. Now you have to work on perfecting your form and activating your cns… balancing your training to train your weaknesses.
I feel like concentrating on getting working the grip and not just stalling and pulling kind of hurt me with pulling hard like I was. Almost like going. Through motions also I know sleep is really lacking
Working on speed (without straps) with sub-maximal weights will help with grip, help some nagging aches, push you thru sticking points to include blasting off floor and help with form.
