Food Idea Thread for Dieting

Was just speaking to someone whose overweight and excuse was they had no time to prepare healthier foods. Thought about a simple thread on what people eat that’s fast to make.

This month I’m back on carnivore/no carb/extreme low carb. So today was easy.
  • Scrambled eggs is usually my meal when I don’t want to bloat, need some fats for energy. Eat it anytime of day - 5 mins
  • Boiled eggs are usually snacking - 10/12 mins
  • Chicken thighs boiled in different spices vary - 30 mins.
  • and one of my favorite post workouts is 200g steak tartare. - 1 min to unwrap the package
Amounts vary how I feel/activity during the day.

1 tbsp pb

1 cup or maybe 2 whites

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Add carbs depending on needs. 1/2 cup oats or rice crispys.

Add ice to thicken

Quick tasty and filling.

I use a pressure cooker a lot. Especially with chicken. 3lbs of chicken takes about 20 minutes. Then I’ll take half of it, use a mix of Greek yogurt and mayo for chicken salad. Then eat the other half with pasta and sauce.

Overnight oats is another easy meal. Just add oatmeal with Greek yogurt, cinnamon and milk (almond milk). Throw some whey in there for extra protein. Mix together and throw it in the fridge. By morning it’s good to go

And honestly excuses is a major downfall. I’ve already altered my sleep because of my job and the gym hours that way I can get it in. I sacrifice my sleep. That way I can cook what I can eat healthy and hit the gym. Cooking eggs takes what?? 3 mins unless you hard boil them. Hell sitting in line at a fast food restaurant takes longer.

I love overnight oats. My recipe has coconut milk and honey…chia seeds.

I ate that every morning for 5 years or so. Haven’t had it in a longtime. I’m sure I’ll get back to it eventually.

I invited them on here and I know they looked at the site. So will see if they join. And not just lurk.

This reminded me. Years ago I made my eggs scrambled with coconut oil. Amazing. Would scramble and eat avocado slices with it. Gotta go get some tomorrow.

You can make a weeks worth of chicken and rice i. About an hour

Wifey makes a weeks worth of breakfast for me in about an hour. Maybe a bit less.

Per daily container

3 scrambled eggs

1/2 biscuit

~1 tbsp of sausage gravy on top.

She makes 4-5 (depending on my work week) every Sunday.

Heats up at work in 1 minute 10 seconds.

I get 4 eggs a day occasionally.

It definitely cost more money to eat shitty. So with that being said sounds like your overweight friend could afford fish as well. Too pricey for me. But the thread is speed sooooo. Sear up some fish in what??? 7 - 10 mins with some olive oil. Veggie of choice in microwave.
That’s very low calorie if I do say so myself.

They also have rice in a boil bag… Throw that bitch in four cups of water and let it boil 10 mins. Pull the bag out. Done. Shit sear up a steak real quick veggies in the microwave while it’s boiling .Dinner in 10 min… I will say 15 for the water to heat up to boil the bag.

I worked two jobs today a side one and my real one. I am currently on 4 hours of sleep. I will split the chicken up four ways three at around 7 ounces and the last one will be a little short at 5 and 1/2 oz. I will add a small amount of white potatoes to each one. There is no miracle to gaining weight or losing weight as far as I’ve learned. Just consistency and patience and of course some sacrifices. It’s 2:15 a.m. going to try and wrap up my day. Get 3 hours of sleep . And get my ass up rinse and repeat. Today should be the last day of the side job though so that’ll be good… and just continue on with the actual job…
