Ha ha @Rusty you red neck motherfuckers, my wife daughter dogs n I went hiking this afternoon and walked on one lake, and it was also dam near 60 where we are, we didn’t fish, and it took me like 10mins to get my female on the ice

Ya. It’s a must during real cold years. Sometimes have over three feet ice. You ever get honeycomb ice there?

Sometimes yes, or water freezes on top but you break thru it to the real ice

And this year most lakes had a foot or more of snow on makes it harder but then I don’t have to wear my ice cleats

I hate that when there is two layers of ice. All that snow insulates the ice so it can’t grow. Then the weight forces water out of the holes and makes a big mess.

One good thing about the snow is it makes my tip ups sit higher so I can see better, were allowed to have 5 of em out, or 4 if your jigging

I just got a new phone and couldn’t transfer anything lost the old one on lake fishing, now I dont have any good pics

Dam. Like @Bigmurph says no picture it didn’t happen. Hahaha. Perch on a tip up? Gotta be some big perch around there. I only got one on a tip up cause they don’t run real big here. Trout on a tip up gotta be fun. I’ve never done it here. The only place to catch trout here on tip up is in the harbor of Lake Michigan and that ice is very rarely safe.

Me and my brother seen ot at the matinee when it came out. We were going to pack our stuff and go to the yukons.
