hevy workout tracker app review and social connections

I was checking around workout apps to log my workouts. I used to use Jefit and then moved to one thats on ios only but they removed it from the store. So I decided to check around and first checked out Strong app. I liked it but was expensive for what it offered and didnt seem to have anything updated recently from developer. Then I saw the Hevy app.

Its pretty similar except paid version is cheaper and seems to be more active from developers. I can setup my cardio and home daily setups and different folders for
other programs I follow like John Meadows Mountaindog workouts and Doggcrapp workouts. Off course I modify them to what I have available at the gym here and what I do to work around my injuries.

The social aspect of the Hevy app is ok and I think its cool to follow what friends are doing but also to hold people accountable. You can see if someone is missing workouts (if setup to share) and get on them about why. But what I really like is the ability to share workouts. So I can share a day like this (mind it this is adapted from the principles of DC and adapted to injuries with my current split tuesday, thursday, saturday and sunday) and others can use the same plan or use it as a starting base to move from.

Im still currently natural ;) at least for a few months before going back on cycle which will be low one for now. I'll be adding some routines from my old jefit when time, to include old ones like Mountaindogs two a day workout routine and others in a different subforum here for members only to use if they want.

I’ve thought about doing an app in off-season instead of paying coach. I want coach during prep as I just feel It better

I think using an app is great at that point. I started with a manual pen and paper back in the 90s. Logging each set with notes, diet for the day, weight, how I felt. Gave me a much better understanding what was working including my cycles. I attribute my core strength growing so fast from that info. Considering the first guy that took me under his wing was into powerlifting he started me on that. Day 1 training with him was get a notebook. @rnmuscle I think remembers when it was common for guys to have their notebooks around. Now everything is so advanced with apps so much easier then by hand.

If more people here use it and share routines even better if someone gets in a rut and just wants to switch things up for a bit.

They actually have a coach program where a coach can view the clients progress and make changes as needed.

I loaded strong,. But I'm going to check out HVY. I need it set up or I'll do ,,60 sets!
I would like someone to send me my workout and food for the day and totally trust them. I'm at the age where I can probably do that! My workout partner was my coach for years.
