I want to thank our new MOD @NeuroRN it's time to congratulate him

I overlooked it…thought it happened long time ago. Congrats. I was in the MICU and SICU when I was at my biggest and I used to cramp all the time! My hands, my back! Back then we actually could get food in. Crazy busy but we had fun. 2020 events sent things off the charts but even before it’s been getting worse and worse.

Going back to CVICU for a bit… but on the dreaded day shift. Hopefully they let me eat my food or it’s gonna be rough!

Yeah… eventually I’ll have to step away from the bedside… no idea what I’ll do when that day comes. 2020 was certainly the year of the nurse!

I always would find the microwave and the most private bathroom. 12 hard boiled eggs with a few yolks mixed up like egg salad and protein shake in 5 minutes flat…sometimes while taking a piss!!!😬😬

Ah ha all the administration will be there but you’re specialized so it’s not like rounds with some 120 lb chief. I like nights but nobody remembers the pain, loneliness, etc get worse at night and we never let them sleep. In your case they are hopefully nicely sedated!

Sorry to highjack brother but I have to ask you a question. I have spinal stenosis in my neck and it’s causing issues down my right arm. What are my options on this?

Find a good physical therapist, one that’s holistic as possible.

Pain meds, cortisone shots.

Maybe surgery?

Honestly… I don’t think there’s a lot. I don’t do much ortho. But as always, talking to your doc is a good place to start.
