I’m Just As Sorry As They Come

Had to go into the office today. We’ve been teleworking since last March. I’ve probably averaged twice a month in the office. Some folks haven’t been in there in months and months.

#1 I’m so spoiled… my work station is literally 5 steps from my pillow. Getting up getting dressed packing a picnic basket driving 20 minutes is such a pain…my new norm has ruined me.

#2 getting dressed in khakis nice shoes and a polo…wth. Got to wear underwear in the office or I’ll walk around with a piss stain all day (old guy stuff)…not that I really care but you know. At home…sweat pants, board shorts, flip flops, tennis shoes… no shirt and NO underwear.

Talked to the big boss today. Great guy… he said theres some that haven’t produced while at home. Two have been fired. He doesn’t know what the protocol will be in the near future.

I don’t mind going in, I’m truly blessed with a great job and don’t take it for granted but working at home in my spiderman pj’s has pretty much ruined me!

Oh and I took my little coffee maker home last year and no one made coffee today. I didn’t have a cup until i got home…on #3 now.

Understand all of that so well. My offices have been open for a while now, but everyone is encouraged to continue to work from home to the extent they can, at least for now. So I’ve been in the office maybe three days in the past year. While it is convenient and damn efficient to work in my pajamas and flip flops from a couple of monitors on my dining room table, rather than have to put on a suit and tie and do the communte, I miss the camaraderie of teamwork. I look forward to getting back in the office and for the routine to recommence.

Actually me too. I’m chatty and work with a bunch of young folks that are pretty cool. I do miss that.

Yeah see I move at my own pace. Which is slow and steady lol unless I’m at work then I have to keep up to make a good impression and show I’m a hard worker deep down lmao

My wife just got the date and she doesn’t want to go back either it does suck and that shit is starting to happen to me also im definitely getting old lol
