NPP and Deca Long Term?

About a month ago I posted about messing up my elbow while working with a coach. Soon after I found out I had Rheumatoid Arthritis. Which means the uncomfortable workouts he had me doing may not have effected you like they did me. Thankfully my doctors and physical therapist were extremely helpful. Plus I got a lot of great advice from some of you, which is great appreciated! I’m back on the road to recovery and would say I am close to 80%. I can lift now but its still light weight.

Anyways, I was about 3 weeks into a cycle when that happened so I stopped it and I am back to TRT which is 200 milligrams of Test C every 10 days, with shots every 5 days.

Since RA is an autoimmune condition and I will need to learn to manage it, I was wondering what everyone’s opinion on taking NPP or Deca long term to help with joint pain? My doctors wanted to put me on Prednisone or Humira, both have horrible side effects and I’m just not willing to take that shit! I would love to get everyone’s opinion on using Deca during cycle and NPP during TRT to help manage my joint pain.

Nandrolone, based on research trials, will do almost nothing for RA. Its a great bone density improving steroid but its ability to treat RA will be very limited. I would think you would better suited to search for something that we assist in the bodies inflammatory response to the RA.

Consider using curcumin and TYPE II collagen protein.

I wish you the best @GC1985 and I am sorry to hear you have to deal with RA.

Deca is very mild and one of the safest drugs we have in our arsenal. It would be no problem to run for 20-30 weeks as it is a slow drug to start working. The longer on it the better the results. I like it at half the dose of my testosterone weekly. So if im running a 1200mgs of test a week id run deca at 600mgs a week. It gives the joints a nice lubed feeling and causes massive nitrogen retention which makes you very anabolic and anti-catabolic. Make sure to eat to grow and you def will. Im glad to hear your are on the path to recovery brother. Just make sure that you have some caber on hand in case your prolactin levels get too high which will cause gyno. An AI wont be able to solve that problem only an anti-prolactin drug will help. But unless you are extremely susceptible to that happening you shouldnt have any problems at all. Best of luck with the rest of the rehab getting back to 100%

Long term lose dosage usage is more common than we admit but like @SemperFi said you’d be better off circumin and type II collagen protein. Lots of research on RA bro, just look around. Good luck to you, and sorry you have to experience it.

I really don’t know anything about rheumatoid arthritis but it seems like decca wouldn’t do anything but actually make it worse.
If you were taking the dmards drugs that will make the inflammation go down then the water retention im sure will help with the pain but if you don’t take the medication your joints will stay swollen and you will cause more injury.
Its tough also because most of the treatments involve corticosteroids which we all know high cortisol levels are bad for what we do.
I wish you the best brother I don’t think that decca and npp is the answer I believe that if you can talk with a doctor straight and tell him flat out
I take steroids I want you to know this so when you are treating me for the RA you give me the proper medication.
If you tell your doctor that 2 things can happen he can say get out of his office or be a good doctor and treat you with the correct medications while you also run gear.
You have patient doctor confidentiality he can’t repeat what you tell him or you can get his license revoked.
Be straight with your doctor I think that is your best option.
Best of luck to you brother

@SemperFi Thanks bro I always appreciate your opinion. Yeah man it’s hard to find information on anabolics since they are not approved for medical use. Unfortunately the options I have been given so far suck! Seriously man the Humira was the worst, and the anti-inflammatory they gave me destroyed my stomach! I will definitely check out what you suggested. The good thing is even though RA cannot be cured it can be managed. Thanks again man for your help.

@Islandswole Thanks man! Yeah I’m going to keep digging because the options they suggested just suck

@MBTJR1980… Yeah man I have always loved Deca. I love a good simple but strong Test, Deca and D-Bol cycle. I’m sure you can relate after lifting heavy for awhile you just get achy and I kind of just feel like that all the time now that’s why I was thinking Deca may help.
I was actually thinking about starting a thread with pics and what I’m taking, so hopefully I can show the progress from now until this time next year. It’s been a goal of mine to get on stage. I plan on training with PHD after the holiday’s. Thanks again man! I’ve probably said it a dozen times already but you suggesting I weigh my meals has had a significant impact and the deep tissue I feel has really sped up the recovery process.

Yeah man it’s hard to find good info. I’m fortunate I have a doctor that is completely aware of what I take and we run all my blood work every month. I have great insurance but it’s private and the downside is some of their protocols sucks. For instance when I got my Test checked and it came back low my doctor couldn’t do anything but refer me to an outside provider and I wasn’t willing to pay $500 a month for TRT, especially when I felt like I knew more than the TRT doctor. Haha you should have seen the blank look I got when asking him about AI’s.
My Mom was on corticosteroids for years while battling MS and they just destroyed her body. Thankfully she has been in remission for a few years now!
I’ve been doing a lot of digging and I really believe I can manage it with a rigorous routine. Thanks for positive words man!

Thanks man! Yeah I’m going to start a thread soon, probably after Thanksgiving. The goal is to get on stage around this time next year and I think a thread would help me track the progress and get tips from you guys along the way.

@GC1985 you are probably already all over this but I wanted to mention Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA). You know that they have been extensively studied for RA and other inflammatory conditions. 😉
