I was the good dad/dad in law yesterday. New son in laws daddy died right before wedding. He left him and his brother (13 yo) his house. It was in need of repair prior to putting on the market. My son in law is taking the high road and footing the bill as well as the clean up. I was over there all day yesterday under the house ripping out rotten beams and replacing them. Had my work trailer on site which helped because I got to use a bunch of leftover crap.

I’m a tad sore today.

Babygirl has been puking since yesterday evening. Beings I’m the one with the stomach…I’ve been cleaning up the chunks. No chunks today. She’s not eating. Keeping fluids/electrolytes in her.

Wifey just got back from puppy ER with the guard corgi. She’s got pneumonia. It was obvious she was sick… not eating all day and running a temp… unusually lethargic. That was $1k… with meds!

I’m convinced that’s what’s getting us sick here. Wife and I were just checking everytime we go to our inlaws we get sick later that night or next day. In summer never an issue but when snowing or rain weather every time. We got better then visited Saturday and all got sick again by nighttime. I know for a fact the building in back of house has mold issues and basement had a problem before in the past.

One thing I like about the vets here in Europe is they don’t try to price gouge you or scam you. When my dog got stomach turned and needed surgery to correct it and clear something else was only a few hundred.

Typically spend $8-15 at vet when one is sick.
