Ok I’ll tackle the state and federal employees not mandated. The reason for this is D.C. does not have the authority to mandate state and federal employees to wear masks, only those jurisdictions can make that order.

Being a federal employee, you are exempt from mandates by a state unless your federal agency mandates you follow local ordinances.

Also notice the mandate states “while on duty”, once off duty, you are no longer exempt.

Ok the doctor comparing the flu deaths to covid deaths is misleading, with what 4.5 million cases currently in the USA, the flu generally infects upwards of 49 million, so yes as of now the death numbers will be higher. Not a good stat to use as the numbers infected are not equal.

At what point do we expect more from a leader, a leader doesn’t point fingers, a leader inspires, a leader doesn’t make fun of people, a leader should be held to a higher standard as they have chosen that role. Not one speach has he ever tried to unify people, that’s not how a leader acts, at least my vision of a leader.

I’m not saying a leader doesn’t make mistakes, but they own them, Trump doesn’t own his, he deflects, and points fingers. The buck stops here as the saying goes, wether it’s the leaders fault or not, he’s in charge, he owns it, I don’t feel a person in his position can afford to point fingers, you own it and fix it.

Maybe I’m naive, maybe that’s how leaders act all over. Was it common in the military for your leaders to point fingers? To blame others? To divide, rather than unify the people in their charge?

Military leaders and political leaders are two different animals. Politics is all about the next 2, 4 or 6 year employment and saying what ever it takes. Military you want to talk leadership? Different story. You have to convince a 18-20 year old it’s a good idea to attack a position shooting at you. So I’m not even going to compare the two. Leadership in office is what ever the way the tide rolls. Media has a big play in that. Obama said about a BLMer killing 5 police officers “ there’s bad people on both sides and it happens.” But the media didn’t say anything. If Trump would have said that, you know a hand grenade would have gone off. The guy is a dick. Like most businessmen, that’s who he was. 20 years ago he got awards for helping black communities. Hell Sharpton and Jackson praised him. Now here we are. Orange man bad. Why? Because the media hates him for treating them like children. If Trump couldn’t tweet, about half these arguments are moot. But he’s a king troll. And people just jump on it cuz he’s troll.

I guess I’m just tired of the game. I’m not bashing Trump for being Trump, I haven’t seen a real leader in that position in my lifetime, I guess I’m just curious why we allow it. I’m not under any notions that Obama was a good president, that Bush, Clinton, Carter, Reagan were any better.

@Thunder to me there isn’t anything more American than calling bullshit on your government, it’s why the 2nd Amendment exists, it’s not for personal protection from other civilians, it’s for protection from your government.

I love the bashing. I really do. I laugh cuz most have never experienced any other tyrannical government real time. No matter how bad it is here in the States, I think of places I’ve been to Somalia, Djibouti, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Uzbekistan and a dozen more places. It’s not a threat when treated properly and timely. That’s the whole point and studies prove that. The govts are taking away the rights for people to get the proper medical care.

And yes I actually do stockpile for just about everything. Every year I have a list that people send me items so I don’t run out. Items that are not available in country and actually work or alot cheaper then locally. You learn skills on what you need and how to be prepared in life. I get stockpiled on dayquil and Nyquil by the case.
