I got held at work all day so ate like shit agsin.
Back on the wagon tomorrow. Plus one of the guys on duty with me tested positive the other day now I am starting to not feel well. Hits just keep on comin!

The body is constantly cleaning itself out. If it’s not you’re dying lol. Instead of fasting, just an idea, try to go for a couple of days with only fruit, white fish, hydro protein, and liquid eggwhites.

I fasted for two days once and my grapefruit size hematoma shrank to baseball size quickly. I heard there are a lot of health benefits in healing with fasting and after that I am a believer.

The same benefits from fasting happen with a caloric restricted diet. There’s a lot of misinformation regarding fasting. It’s not harmful for the body to digest food. That’s what it’s designed to do. Fast if you want but just understand there’s no benefit over caloric restriction.

No benefit health wise over a caloric restricted diet. I’m not talking about only bodybuilding. It is proven there are no benefits from fasting over a caloric restricted diet 20-40% of calorie reduction. Fasting is needed to get the benefits of a caloric restricted diet when your diet isn’t normally in a caloric restriction. However there are issues with fasting like lower testosterone, igf, thyroid, higher cortisol. I didn’t mention bodybuilding.
The health benefits vs a caloric restricted diet is what I’m talking about

I hear you. For me personally, I’ve done both. A 48 hour water fast once ever quarter for years. The cognitive, inflammation, digestive benefits are incredible vs a caloric restriction.

That’s personal a anecdote. That’s not what they’ve found in actual trials. There’s too many variables to say this worked better that.
You would have to control as many variables as possible, get actual blood work done, etc. Collect all the data and analyze it. Your daily diet could have things causing inflammation. Do you log all your food, sleep, activities etc to see what causes what? How you react to different things? A simple elimination diet could’ve yielded the same results.

Not arguing with you man. Nor am I going to attach any of the thousands of pubmed articles on the benefits. I get what your saying though. Caloric restriction generally equals longevity and health benefits. For someone who’s not in a caloric deficit however, I’d argue a 48 hour fast would yield similar benefits to 30 days of caloric restriction. Yes that’s anecdotal. But benefits of fasting are not. Endless studies.

I didn’t say there are no health benefits. Endless studies show there are no benefits from one over the other is literally all I’ve said. Endless studies. The benefits of fasting are no different than that of a caloric restricted diet again I never said the benefits didn’t exist your caveat isn’t needed. However there are negative effects from fasting not found with cr
