Primary Dr. orders full panel while in cycle

So my primary doctor ordered a full panel blood test while I was at the end of a cycle of Test Cyp, Deca and Var. My test was slightly above 2000, red blood cells high, liver enzymes high, estrogen high. Told me to stop test injections, stop any estrogen blocker which was confusing, he told me to go donate blood and he wants to get my liver checked. He knows I’m on testosterone but not the extent of it. So now I’m sitting in the donation chair wondering if this would have been a normal test reading for anyone mid cycle. What y’all think?

You should be honest with your doctor and let him know what’s actually happening he probably thinks that you are dying.
If he understands and has all the information than he can come to a much better conclusion of what’s actually happening and if you’re taking compounds your going to have all the side effects that you mentioned.
Without the blood work we can’t see your levels but that really doesn’t matter because you have your doctor to work with and he has the answers plus the medication to prescribe.
I believe that you should definitely be straight with him even if its I did this but I will never do it again as long as you let him know what is actually happening.

This is why being transparent with your doctor is imperative. That’s what your labs should have looked like I believe. You were taking a mild but still liver toxic oral and Supra-physiological doses of test.

Finish your cycle, at least that’s my thoughts.

I’m approaching the same dilemma, I have to get a physical next month during the last 4 weeks of a cycle. I’d like to finish it but I was considering ending it this month to give my bloodwork a little time to normalize.

The only problem with that is it goes in your records so if you have a major health issue later on the insurance company can say it was caused by roids and try to not cover you.

This is what came up last time and I believe that its complete bullshit and shows how messed up the medical system really is the day has come when you can’t even tell your doctor anything because we really have zero privacy.
Your right its just so wrong smh

I agree with @Bigmurph , my doctor knows everything… my last labs came back high, I beleive I was just a shade under 400 mg/wk test, I was straight forward with him too. I’m down to 200 mg/wk Cyp right now with a very low 150 mg/wk npp and will be re tested in approx 10 weeks.
Point is, he knows I’m going to play, I’ll never stop, but it won’t be to the extent as it was when I was still chasing elite numbers and invites to big pro/am meets.

I like my doctor and I’m pretty honest about everything I do…with the exception of my gear. People have a real bad misconception about the stuff and I don’t know what her view on it is

I agree. And in my follow up I plan to be more specific than I was. It is a new primary and wasn’t sure how to approach/describe my cycle. I came straight here for the guidance of the folks in the community.

I’m curious what kind of doctor you are seeing. It is a general family physician or a TRT doctor? I’ve been seeing my general family doctor for quite a few years, but never was “enhanced” so didn’t have the issue with knowing blood labs will be out of normal for good reason if currently in the middle of a cycle. Next time I see mine will be towards the end of summer which should be after my current cycle ends. I typically will get a full metabolic panel.

I would like to be upfront with him and do have a feeling he will be fairly understanding, though likely would disapprove. Last thing I would want like others have said is a red flag in my permanent record which could really mess up what could be prescribed should I have an injury or something that may require a short period of controlled pain meds or something else that would not be given if I’m labeled as a drug abuser. Sucks that I have to think like this. There is a clinic really close to me that has this electronic sign that says “testosterone makes the wife happy.” LOL. However I also don’t want to find a doctor that is just passing out test like candy without sufficient knowledge of how to read blood tests correctly so that all precautions are taken during my treatment. At the end of my current cycle and PCT I’m going to do my own blood tests to check both hormones and my metabolic panel before going in to see my primary doctor or if I decide to, check out the clinic if my test is at a low normal following a suffice to rest period.

No doubt brother I can understand im really lucky honestly as ive found out to have a doctor who completely understands but like @johnjuanb1 said some doctors could mess you up in the future especially a brand new doctor.
I hope that he can understand but definitely try to find a trt doctor so if you ever really needed one.

Best of luck brother im curious how everything turns out with the doctor and your cycle.

@Shock6050, my doctor is a family physician who specializes in male health. I was referred to him by my old doctor who is a retired NPC Women’s Bodybuilder and made most men in the gym look small. After I retired from competition due to my hip I had a lot of conversations with my old doctor about what to do as far as hormones go since I hadn’t been off anything in over 10 years, we hashed out a plan for coming off and seeing this doctor and going from there. When I had my first appointment with him for blood work, I was 100% upfront and honest, everything I had ever used, amounts, periods of time and how I hadn’t been off test in over 10 years. I’m usually pretty good about making sure my numbers are where they need to be come blood work time, and like I said, he knows I’m going to play. I consulted with him before increasing my test post hip replacement to assist in recovery, and adding nandrolone to help heal the connective tissue. I don’t think he would be as cool as he is if I were still running 1000-1200 mg of test a week and 800-1000 mg deca, but since I tend to keep everything fairly low (nothing higher than 400mg/wk) he’s pretty understanding and accepting. Basically he understands the lifestyle I used to live and is ok with turning a blind eye to me keeping just my finger tips on that lifestyle as long as I don’t clench with the full fist.
