Semaglutide Curbs Alcohol Cravings

any advice on the protocol dosing?

I was thinking…

.25mg week 1-4 (introduction)
.50mg week 4-8 (small dosage)
.75mg week 8+ (medium dosage)

I don’t want to restrict my eating too much, but am willing to drop 10 pounds for the sake of this experiment (215 to 205). And I would like to avoid any nasty sides as much as possible.

My last A1C was 5.1.

I drink around 8 beers a night now so the results will be based on that.

I’ll be honest I would have never suspected you to be a heavy daily drinker. If you stop drinking the 8 beers a night you’ll lose ten pounds whether it affects your eating or not. That’s about 1000 calories right there
 
Dosing looks good for weight loss without the nasties.

Maybe think about a gentle stool softener/laxative.

@Neuro suggested one for me and it helped NOT crapping bricks and little stones.

Side note…semaglutide scares me a bit. Please be very careful and aware of your blood glucose levels.

Interesting situation you’re in. Great a1c… not chubby if i remember a pic you posted some time ago.

I get it… I surely can’t throw any rocks there. I walked away from them and booze about 10 years ago. I still get the taste for an ice cold beer out of a cooler….my problem was it was 18 plus or nothing…
 
I took 30 16 oz with me to festival I think I have 11 I. Cooler still old me would have went right through all of them on day one most likely. If I started at 1 when I got there. I get about 6-8 beers in now and feel that’s about good enough. Now when I go home and drinking with all my friends that number can go up a bit
 
Well once I like the cocaine high more than being drunk I kind of don’t like getting supers drunk anymore.
Now I turn down cocaine like it’s the plague. Becuase for me it is
 
I think the dosing looks okay, but I tagged @BBSQ5 in bc he knows more about effective dosing of this.

I check blood glucose 3-4 times a week in the am, it was an avg of 99 last quarter.

I’m not chubby, athletic build.

I find a good reason to have beer every evening, you know. Good workout, Stressful day, nice night, neighbor stops by.

And I kinda just want to see if it works for this application too. A few months of less could help reprogram the habit.

I do know. It all makes perfect sense to me.

Man my excuse was well it’s what I do. Speaking of reprogramming I’ve finally made it to gym before work for first time this year
