My nerd brain is thinking yeast, and an engineered enzyme would be able to quantify the amount of androgens that are inside a mixture, with a color indicator compound.
Or secondary adopt a similar technique to glucose test meters, but try and quantify a “de-esterification” process, similar to how glucose in test strips is broken down to produce an electrical signal.
But it’s one thing to have an idea, another to spend millions in research lol
