I have a teacup Yorkie. She will be 18 in July. She’s getting bad. I want her to live as long as she can but I might have to put her down. I took her to the vet to ask. They said she’s not in pain and pretty good for a old lady. I carry her outside. To water. Hand feed her. I worry I’m doing the wrong thing by keeping her alive. But I just can’t put her down. I’ll call an air strike on a city block and not think twice about it. But this little dog has been with me through thick and thin. Was for my ex, but fuck her. I kept the dogs.

Hahaha who woulda thought all that all man and you got a 2.8lb pup. I love it.
But seriously, I get it. We see people die on the daily and it’s just another day at work. The vet said cancer and two weeks to live (5 weeks ago btw) and the big tough icu nurses were a wreck. There’s nothing that can describe what it means to have a dog that’s been through it with you.
We’d come home exhausted, mid covid 4,5 nights in a row and both of us asleep on the floor in the living room and he’d stay awake all day lying next to us until we woke up and he then he’d fall asleep.
All that to say, I don’t know what’s right. We’ve got his pain meds dialed in, and he can still take little walks. So we’re hanging on as long as we can manage.

Here is the most non alpha male dog you will
Ever see. He is a mommas boy and a giant pussy. But he does his job well by sounding the alarm whenever something is off. And his big ass bark will make you shit your pants. All he needs hahahaha. The bark is enough. Thank God cause he will run from a hamster. He reminds me of Lambert the sheepish lion cartoon.

This is my little buddy, cock-a-poo but he looks more cocker, especially when I get him groomed with a hunters cut. I grew up with field dogs, brittanys, and GSP’s… this little guy is scared of everything, including his farts and shadow… but he’ll get a good bark in before he cowers behind me, haha
