The nights watch- Dax style

Our silver lab died from cancer on Memorial Day weekend a few years ago. It was tough to see such a wonderful dog go so quickly from a shit ass disease at such a young age.

We still hav Jax, our Golden Retriever, who was her partner in crime. But, he’s a bit over 10 years now, so we’re hoping he stays as healthy as he is for awhile.

Trying to be. But it’s really hard. She’s doing well now. But I just can’t seem get over putting her down. But I know it’s the right thing to do. Just want her around a little longer. Maybe next visit to the vet I’ll just do it.

I may come off cold saying this but I had to tell my aunt to let my gma go cause she was just keeping her alive to not deal with that he death. When they have to do surgery to stop internal bleeding weekly and the person is 90 it’s time to let them go.

I know this sounds strange but I value this little dogs life more than human life. She fits in the palm of my hand. And she still has those bright eyes.

As the icu nurse… that’s not cold. Haha I agree completely. And @TBU I’m the same way. As long as he still looks at me like he knows me and wants to play. He gets all the hamburgers and anything he wants. @JLee hit the nail on the head.
