i was reading about verifying sources. , what i hated at mg is the fact that i would sign on. … and find 3 or 4 sources. VERIFIED , that i never herd of. they just payed for there license , and of course MONEY !!!
THEY HAD TO BUY THERE WAY IN
i hated that with a passion. how can i protect and keep ppl from scams. 95% turned into scammers.

i was a mod there 3 or 4 years. , i will agree with you i use to hate waking up and seeing 3 knew skurces (i never herd of ) now the money thing i cannot prove and would be wrong to say that …but i will admitt it passed my mind. …

What do you mean about waking up to 4 or 5 new src i tag you whenever a new src gets verified. No src has ever gotten verified overnight on average it takes about 2-3wks for a src to get verified.
I have srcs trying to get verified for almost 2 months now.
We don’t even charge srcs to be verified we charge for advertising which even if they want to advertise they still go through verification

@SIEGMUND we have sources lined up to be verified still. One in particular is hold up on my part even tho he has a strong record and verified on another forum.

Now one source on here after he was verifed I told that he needed his name change as their was a conflict with another source.

Advertisers are the only people that pay and they are verified as well. I wish all sources would advertise as it cuts my cost down. I have server costs, backup servers, additional products working on (direct app with working notifications on iphone and ios) and advertising i take out on google and other places i want to advertise on but cant afford right now. I make zero profit from here and we arent affiliated with sources directly as other boards are to rely on any income. We are completly in the red here.

What i have been contacted about recently the advertisers vs just sources. We provide a way to advertise for them and increase their seo on google and other places. But them not being active they aren’t supporting the board at all. Why should I pay money and advertise to push a source that doesnt support the board? The solution i have come down too is to move them all to a category that is only visible by staff and level 4 members. Members get to level 4 by activity. So senior or active members can see all the sources. But inactive sources dont benefit to get free advertising on the site.

Right now the sources that do get approved all have track history at other sites you probably just arent on. I know because i selectively and personally asked a good number of them myself to check out the site here. They just don’t pop up and even with history have to go thru verification.

well once things gdt up and running. , and our numbers are up. …thsfe should be a fee. for top source s. … nothing crazy but if they are making money off the site a little donation. to the board. would only be. honorable
i know if our numbers were up. , and i was a top 10 source. and pulling 10 k or more a week. im sorry but. 50 to 100 $ a week is not. out of question or un reasonable. …me and my boy are self brewing a little now. , we have a phd from a college. , and lab. he does it for a few bottles , he likes and were brewing for our selfs. …
