A Diet Hack That Works For Me

As some of you know I’m an old man with a couple of medical issues. Struggling with my blood sugar is one of them. Keeping my weight down (bf in particular) is another.

I need to be very particular with my regular dietary needs. I can splurge on occasion but the munchies (snacking) is not my friend.

I can pack on some weight… as some would call “bulking”. Sure probably 50% of would be muscle but unfortunately the other half would be fat. With all that comes exponentially shortening the quality years I have left on this rock.

Sooooo…. I’ll stick to maintaining what I got for the long game.

My personal tried and true OIT (old Indian trick) is a diet dr pepper or as baby girl calls it, a “dr poppy”. Keep a 12-16 oz (or whatever they are these days) bottle in fridge and take a good pull off it to fill me up and stave off the munchies.

No sugar and tastes great…one bottle a day works just fine for me.
 
I’ve used the same trick except I use fresca. Was thinking of giving these a shot

All though there is no sugar I believe the artificial sweetener messes with your blood sugar also. Google that but pretty sure it’s bad. Also dark soda, colas in particular are very bad for over all health. Also believe they are linked to early death. There is a name for it but can’t remember . Google that also.
I had a Diet Coke on a cheat day recently, first soda in probably 10 years
