I’ve always been a large individual. I’ve been lifting since I was 13 and since the age of 20 I’ve always trained religiously only taking off a scheduled 2 weeks a year. I’m 37 now. I’ve always fought with my weight. I’ve lost 140 lbs, 127 and 112 on different cuts and 80+ on 4 different occasions.
I’ve always managed to get lean no matter how far out of hand I’ve gotten. My problem is maintaining the fat loss. I rebound like a boomerang and manage to end up heavier. You don’t see many healthy 50+ year old 300 pounders walking around. I need to start getting some of the strain off my weight off of my joints and organs.
I just wanted to know who’s been in a similar situation and what strategies have you used to maintain. I’m not a competitive bodybuilder but I want to be able to maintain that look year round as opposed to every other year lol. I know this is long winded but thank you for reading.
