Cannot lose this body fat

For me, I get kicked out of keto if I go above 60g of protein a day. 😦
That makes it hard to maintain muscle. But everyone responds differently.
But if you’re wicked fat (like I often find myself), you gotta do what you gotta do.
And it’s a lot easier for me to build muscle than it is to lose fat.

Of course, it’s probably better to just avoid getting fat in the first place.
🙂

I’ve heard of that. But I do 50 g carbs, 200 g of protein, and 350 g or so of far per day. I’m by no means fat, just have a stubborn belly. We have a blood ketone meter that confirms that I stay in ketosis. Really, I couldn’t care less about the diet, I only do it because my fiancé loves it and has lost 40lbs since January. If it were just me I wouldn’t be doing it, only because of the complexity of the whole thing. But it’s helped her and she’s made it actually really easy, by figuring out how to make every meal with hardly any carbs, and a ton of delicious fat lol

Hey bro would you recommend starting a keto diet to loose some vanity pounds. My wife is wanting to drop like 15lbs. I have always been a high carb high protein type of guy so this whole keto train is new to me and wouldn’t even know where to start planning out a diet for her.

Absolutely, My fiancé lost 20 lbs in the first month, and 20+ more over the past 3 months. It’s tricky though, definitely research recipes, and get a blood ketone meter, they’re like 50 bucks. Plus the energy you get from burning fat for fuel compared to carbs is unreal.

No that’s not what I meant.
Over 60g of protein and my blood ketone level takes a dive (0.0)
Maybe because I’m diabetic. My liver is a glucose-making machine.
😦

I honestly don’t remember. That was over a year ago. That’s something to try next time I make a big “fat push” (“Out, damned fat, out!”).

I believe that with a great man usually comes a great wife backing him up.
I don’t know what I would do without @Luv
