Well hopefully sober you can stay out of situations. I he fact that you said about this one even the cops had never seen you act that meaning they’ve dealt with you multiple times was a bit concerning. I’m glad you are heading down the right path now even if it the worst happens with this situation dont let it get in way of progress

SOS. @herrubermensch plea deal.
They offered me to take off domestic violence if I plea guilty to three misdemeanor disorderlys. I agree to 30 days jail and two years probation. However if I plea to three disorders and get into trouble again I’ll have three and be considered repeat offender which carry’s two years. Look at the mess I am in now. Things can happen that are out of my control. And for five years I’ll have this hanging over my head if I get into trouble again. But I won’t have the domestic so my gun rights stay preserved.
Lawyaer said there are a lot of holes in the case if we tak it to trial especially as my wife has issues understanding English and the cops filled out the criminal complaint for her and put things in it she did not want and had her sign it. He said trial looks good for us but it’s still a gamble.
Should I take the three counts disorderly and not risk trial. My biggest issues were gun rights and keeping my US Safesport certification in good standing for being able to coach and coach on a state level. Which getting rid of the domestic preserves both

Im not a gambling man I prefer knowing what is going to happen but your lawyer brings up great points.
What you wanted you can have you just can’t have any trouble. 30 days ain’t shit you can do that easily just get your commissary full before going in so you can buy food and hygiene products.
In the end though your choice it is your life your fighting for with a jury it can go either way and take into consideration your look and the visualization that the jury will see if you go to trial a proper fitted suit is needed.
With a plea deal probation fucking sucks but atleast you get to keep everything you wanted as long as you complete probation.

Talked to my attorney friend who is very influential but retired. I’m gonna take the plea deal. It’s the only way to guarantee not having a DVO on my record which will get in way of step kids getting approved for visa and guns and coaching youth. My old friend also just went through prostate cancer (survivor) I didn’t know about it. But he said he is willing to meet with me weekly and mentor me and help me stay straight and develop my relationship with God which is probably my only hope in the long run no matter what anyways. I need to be fixed. Even if I win the jury trial am just gonna fuck up again anyways unless I change and get fixed. I believe that with all my heart.

Please take advantage of his offer even if it doesn’t work out atleast you can take from it what was good. I believe that it will be a great thing for you brother especially with you saying he is influential. Start shaking hands and making associates.

Today is a good day. The fight with immigration and wife which has taken years finally came to an end this morning. A fifteen minute interview with the best homeland security officer I could have ever imagined having. She skipped past her two year conditional green card straight to a ten year card cause it’s been such a long journey she already met timelines just in waiting process. Wasn’t expecting that. Looks like everything is going well for Rusty and Mrs Rusty.

That’s probably the right path for you, brother. I would have countered with same deal, but eliminating jail time, which seems silly and counterproductive. But I understand you not wanting to risk a trial.

I don’t think that something is wrong you and I have a disease. A doctor can treat with many options counseling is a great option also if on probation it will look really good and possibly you can get early termination.
I hope that you are able to find a good place to go for help im having some trouble finding a place I thought that it was going to be easy but don’t give up on finding a place there out there brother.
