@Bigmurph. A litany of meds have GI issues associated with their usage. More often than not, it’s a combination of meds coupled with environmental factors that causes problems.
GI issues can be tough to track down. This is why if something is out of my wheelhouse too far (I study the links between diet, obesity, diabetes, and depression), I tap out and ask the PhDs who research specific morbidities for a living.
My thesis advisor has more letters behind her name than I have in my name. Couple that with her years of field experience and she has forgotten more about nutrition than I’ll probably ever learn.
Her mantra to grad students is this: Admit ignorance before proving it. Which reminds me of my SGM in the Corps btw. lol Although his version was quite a bit more colorful.
This is also difficult to do in a forum setting without compromising privacy. There is also the Hawthorne effect at play psychologically, and then we have the added burden of a linear relationship as opposed to something more MI consistent. I’m proceeding on the assumption that this is a close community and we are all adults here with the common goal of optimizing self improvement.
