I'm gay, and conservative, dating really sucks

This is why I love this group of guys, they shoot straight from the hip. It’s nice to see how accepting and kind they are. It’s also important for a community that everyone feels safe and comfortable expressing themselves without judgement, this is a true community and that is what makes UGM special. I’ve been around for about a year now, just been lurking lately. But it’s nice seeing the folks still around from when I joined and it’s really awesome seeing some of the new guys sticking around.

A friend of mine from my days at Disney was a gay, religious, and republican. He found someone and I am sure you will too. Although, the local republican convention committee or whatever the the hell group he joined said no thanks (this was the 90s). He is married now, so there is someone out there who has similar values, or at the very least who should respect that you are allowed to have your own ideas. Shit, we seem to have lost that notion in this country lately. Good luck brother.

Man, I am not so sure about that. Men make sense to me and seem more willing to hook-up. There are times I wish I had the attraction. I think I would get laid 10x as much.

I was just rereading this post. You know I guess the gay folks like you looking for a relationship is exactly like us heteros… almost impossible.

That is until you’re in your 40’s with a decent job and home/stuff… then every menopausal woman on the planet is at your doorstep…dragging along kids which are mostly misbehaved and have a dead beat dad. Hahaha i found myself single at 42.
