Hey brothers,

I recently followed the advice of many of you (which helped me a lot, again thank you all!) and stopped my cycle/hopped on PCT.

I’ve also been adding in LISS and slowly tapering my calories (as to avoid just crashing my metabolism) and the weight’s coming off fine!

I went in to do some (light weight) wrist curls/reverse wrist curls on Monday and normally these felt uncomfortable, but not painful. This time, half way through the set, my wrist literally spasmed and I felt sharp shooting pain that didn’t dissipate when I stopped the workout.

My wrist didn’t really bloat, but it still immensely hurts to move it left or right (and somewhat when closing my hand). More frightening though is my fingers are going numb when I type for instance.

What type of doctor am I supposed to see? Ortho, general practitioner, someone specialized in sports medicine?

How fucked does it sound like I am?

If I do recover, how do I prevent this from occurring again considering I was doing light weight wrist curls with no prior pain?

Would HGH help possibly?

This is all just so devastating as lifting’s been my sanity check and daily hobby and vent. I haven’t been this depressed in a long time.

Definitely see the orthopedic he will send you for an MRI sounds like you tore something possibly needs surgery all depends on the mri.

To prevent in the future if you’re doing an exercise and it hurts something isn’t right stop the exercise and check your form and possibly the amount of weight.

No HGH or nandrolone will just either mask the injury making it worse or not helping at all depending upon what actually happened the MRI is a must brother

Injuries suck you can still work your legs and core so your not completely out of the game but the faster you get the injury healed the faster you can get back to it wish you the best brother.

Thanks Bigmurph,

In the future, how do I strengthen tendons and ligaments? I noticed I’ve had weak wrists for a long time, even feeling unstable while benching for example. I use MSM + chondroitin + glucosamine for joint support, but that’s about it.

As far as a compound or peptide goes, maybe bpc-157 could be a option. I’ve never used, but would consider it if I was in a similar situation. Maybe @NeuroRN can shed some light as I think he’s mentioned it before.

I have a kid I am working with right now and his wrist are so weak he can’t bench 65 pounds without his left wrist buckling. He’s only 15. But still. I told him no bench for now. I have him taking a 35 lb curling bar and holding it in one hand and twisting it side to side then forward to backward until just about fail. Your stronger then that but if you do it with a barbell lots and lots of reps that’ll help your wrists. Also tie a weight on a rope and then to a small pole and use just your hands and wrist to wind it all the way up to the pole then back down go both directions. He is doing those things and getting great gains in his wrist strength. Hope it helps

The rope thing is what I use for forearms. It’ll get your forearms pumped. You have to listen to your body. If it’s uncomfortable change grip lighter weight or just a different exercise. Personally had to drop flat bench for neutral grip Db press. I’m sorry to hear about your wrist brother. There’s nothing more frustrating especially when your making good progress.

Do you do a lot of typing? Or gaming where you perform multiple movements with your finger? If so, sounds alike carpotunnel syndrome. The ligaments/tendons/nerves and blood supply route through your wrist via a “tunnel” prolonged use causes inflammation which decreases the circumference of the “tunnel” causing pressure on the entities that travel through it. An orthopedist is a good suggestion. Probably will send you to a physical therapist and place you on anti-inflammatories and maybe corticosteroid shot if bad. Good luck.

My advice from experience is rest it brother let it heal as long as it takes trust me my body is beat to shit arthritis and i got pains wverywhere from hurting myself and not resting the older it gets the longer it takes and it sucks but its the only way. As far as hgh and i dont think i told you guys but a close friend of mine had a detroit 60 series complete engine fall on him we had pulled it out and replaced it he was tKing parts off of old motor by himself instead of waiting for me to get off work It had sat there for two weeks but fell on him crushed his pelvis Lower back hips the whole nine yards he got lucky and had his phone called me in agony got to hospital BP WAS 76/54 thought i lost him bout went to jail they wouldnt let me go in cause of covid. I been pumping his ass full of hgh ever since he got out of hospital he has never taken it he has already started walking and went to a cain dont know if he is hard headed, proud or the hgh but this will be a good marker for heAling i wonder if there is anything else that would help?

It takes time to strengthen tendons and soft tissue if using AAS your muscles out grow your connective tissue so going to heavy to fast just gotta go slow and allow them to grow with your muscle.

Dietary supplements might help

Sorry this is a late response. You want to find an orthopedic that specializes in wrist/elbow or wort case upper extremity. Not just a regular sports med ortho
