This is the single most important piece of wisdom one can receive. Even with AAS and a perfect diet and working out six days a week, building dense, mature, lasting muscle takes time. AAS maximize your muscle-building ability, but they are not some magical bullet that will have you totally jacked and ripped in 3-4 weeks. I think everyone starting out with AAS believe that in a month, they will be jacked and ripped. And if you run DBOL as part of your first cycle, you can be deceived by the water weight gain into thinking that. Then you stop the DBOL, your dick goes limp, and you look only marginally better than when you started.Dmomuchole said:it’s a marathon not a race
It takes time. Your body has to adjust to the higher level of hormones, especially over the first six weeks. Regardless of what level of test you are using–and test is an essential component of every first cycle if not EVERY cycle–your estrogen will skyrocket and you will bloat. Stay the course, keep hitting the gym hard, eating right, and don’t reflexively take an AI. Your body will soon adjust. Once you get past that phase, you will likely start to lean out a little bit and see some of the benefits of your hard work. I put that point at weeks 10-12. And that’s when the hard work really begins, whether you stay on cycle or go off and do PCT. It’s after the initial gains that you will go through a consolidation and maturation period if you keep working out and eating right. Your muscles will harden. Yes, they may shrink a bit when you go through PCT, but they also will harden.
Fast forward three years of this. THEN and ONLY THEN are you likely to be something approximating “jacked and ripped.” Just my $.02. Your experience may vary. I’m no doctor, but I’m not dumb, and I’ve done a lot of this shit over the years and made every mistake in the book. Consistency over time is what will do the trick. There is no magic bullet.
