May have to change the diet up

I have been cutting weight by changing my diet drastically…it is working… working great actually but I am seriously down on strength, and endurance. I knew this would happen because of only taking in 30 carbs a day and between 700-1000 calories a day. It’s to the point now where even doing calisthenics is just burning me out, most of my workouts right now are resistance related, dips, pull-ups and also lots of flexibility training. I used to do sets of 30-40 push-ups to warm up and then move into dips (unweighted) then weighted. Now I’m lucky to get 20 push-ups and a set of unweighted dips then I just have no gas left. Again I knew when I started this diet that I would lose strength, I just didn’t know it would be so drastic… I’m going to the gym with a bud to lift heavy for the first time in a while tomorrow, and I’m not feeling confident at all. I’m on low dose test cyp because of low natural production of test and thinking about upping the dose, throwing a bowl of oatmeal and a half sweet potato in before the workouts from now on and just keeping the rest of the diet as is. I guess I’m just venting here, I have hit goal after goal and overall I’m happy. Shit around a year ago I was 343lbs as of right now I am 266 and the diet just got serious about 3 months ago. Any advice will be read and appreciated. Kind of hoping some of you more veteran guys will chime in with " up the test to 1g a week, throw in 750mg of tren, 40mg of Dbol, a bevy of peptides and run 10ius of GH a day, with 7000 calories." Lol

Now we’re talking 😂😂😂! First of congrats on dropping all that weight. That’s stellar progress bro. Can I ask what your final goal is? Are you trying to get to a ceratin weight before you try to add muscle on your frame? Also at 700 calories a day that’s a huge deficit brotha. There’s just no way around feeling burnt out at that many cals. Personally I would up my carbs and cals a bit and concentrate on strength training for the next few weeks to get back to where you were strength wise. I feel like losing strength is the biggest demotivating factor for me. It sucks man, when i run T3 I lose all my strength and just feel weak, worst feeling ever I think.

Whoa bro… first congrats on the losses! A 77lb cut is incredible. Really nice job. Now that the niceties are out of the way lol, your caloric intake sucks ass. You need to feed man. I don’t even know how you are functioning on that low of calories. Literally, by the math, your caloric intake is maintenance for someone that is about 55lbs! You’re not a 9 year old boy bro. You’re a 266 pound man. Your body is in preservation mode and just trying to survive. You really need to figure out what your maintenance calories are by at least ball parking your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) and then reducing those maintenance calories by about 500 calories primarily focusing on high protein, moderate carbs and low fat. Keep up with the cardio daily and add more weight to your workouts. Your concentration should be on slow twitch muscle fibers for fat burning and toning purposes. Ask away bro. Feed your brain then learn to feed your body.

So I left out part of my diet. I am doing intermittent fasting everyday except cheat day (Sunday). Eating only between 7pm-11pm. The 700 cal is for week 1 of the month, 800 week two and so on. My final goal is to get down to around 250, see how I feel and if I don’t like it there go lower. I have been lifting regularly since about 14 yrs old Except through bad injuries. I have good genetics, good frame for mass, and have always had a good natural strength until being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease a while back (Lots of corticosteroids). I believe i might take a month off diet or readjust it for a month to get some strength back.

Yea I forgot to put in the intermittent fasting, and gradual increase in calories through the month up to 1000. This was originally a shock diet because I had plateaued off losing, but it worked so well I kept it up. I’m not doing much cardio now for a couple reasons, I could put more cardio in but I’d have to cut out some lifting as time is my biggest factor right now. Busy work/studying/baby/running the day to day at the household (Superdad). I’m close to my goal of 250, if I feel I want more off I will go in 10lbs increments until I feel satisfied. I will eventually hit the gym hard with good food intake and a real cycle but it will be a bit. When I hit that happy weight and have time freed up I believe I will be enlisting the services of @PHD as well. It will probably be close to the end of the year before I have my studying done though.

I do fasting too man but your taking it to almost OMAD With an extended window, I’ve kept and even gained strength while on my cut for the last two months with fasting and eating like 2250-2,500, however I have lost only 10-12lbs in 2 months which for me is fine but others want faster weight loss, but I guess my point is that fasting has benefits of boosting hgh naturally, boosting your metabolism in some cases and it helps your body be in fat burning mode, so try and take advantage of those benefits man, eat a bit more but make it clean Whole Foods and train harder, you can even up your eating window our circadian clocks are supposed to be between 9-12hrs of feeding so anything at that or lower will give you the benefits of fasting

I hear you on the fasting, I love it to be honest. Have done fasting on and off for years. That being said, I have read studies that show the most beneficial fasting is done for between 18-20hrs a day. throughout the day I drink tons of water and about three 20oz black coffees, also chew sugar free nicotine gum for stimulant effect. Lost 20lbs last month doing this.

Alright I am definitely going to change the diet. I will try it week by week and adjust it until I feel it’s perfect for me. I’ll start by adding in preworkout carbs and upping cal intake to 1200 a day

Yum Yum

I did, that was from the old lady cooking bacon early in the day…she never cleans it, just leaves grease splatter all over it.

Mine is similar and I don’t like it one bit, I actually prefer and do most of the cleaning n cooking, on top of working 5 days a week n taking two classes, I’m a real swell guy

Had a killer workout today, changing some things up and changing my diet up has help immensely. Here’s a photo after arms were trashed, nice and full of blood.
