Meat based diet vs plant based diet

Discussing meat-based versus plant-based I know many of us utilize protein shakes eat different types of meat during the day many of us may not pay attention to the vegetables or fruits that we need in our body I myself have found a balance between the vegetables and the meat in my results with correct supplementation have been outstanding.

I have found myself eating meat products as well as plant-based products such as fried chickpeas hamburgers made out of beans which I guess are bean burgers and I have eating both as well as hamburgers

I have learned to eat both without overdoing it and without going crazy counting my calories however I can’t say I prefer one over the other as like I said I eat them both and it depends on the day and time as to what I feel like eating I myself I’m down to204 lbs.

There are some days I may just eat a mixture of strawberries blueberries in a spring mix or I may add almonds and peanuts honey-roasted if I’d like and that’s what I mean eat and leave out the meat

There are days where I eat meat fish protein but we’ll have an avocado will have some sort of vegetable mixed

At this point I continue to lose weight and I continue to increase my lean muscle at one point I was undecided whether to go vegan or to remain carnivorous

I do have to say I am 45 I already grew my hair and all my funny places so therefore I’m not afraid of growing a green mustache how do you gentlemen feel and ladies well on the extracurricular have you seen differences have you felt different has it have vegetables made a difference in your workout or does the meat diet keep you going and energetic this is open for discussion as I’m interested in trying to find better information for myself as well as all of us time in gentleman let me know what your thoughts are on this again on this plant base and meet base I’m not breaking out into any acne my hair is growing … is anyone Hero full vegan are your games increasing or are you a full carnivore and your depleting in your gains

You should check out the protein digestibility corrected amino acid score of plant sources vs animal. For the most part meat is going to provide more bioavailability if I’m reading the information correctly. Maybe someone who knows what the hell they’re talking about can chime in.

Thank you for the response im trying for all of us to chime in and let’s pick our plate… I’ve learned to substitute avocado for bread when I want to have a burger I’ve also substituted Kenowa for rice instead of having starch the starch I would eat from say a sweet potato or a regular potato which I cook on a air fryer trying to get the most out of my vitamins while utilizing my AAS

And I have to give credit to this time last year if it wasn’t for competition that gave me the motivation and the ass kick to keep doing what I’m doing also thanks to @Dirtnasty @NeuroRN for the Motivation while doing this entry with them

Whats the comparison between macros and cals on something like a bean burger compared to beef or even ground turkey or chicken?
Im curious because I believe that digestion will be much easier with a bean burger and if its got the same nutrition or possibly better im definitely going to try some but if not I believe that I would stick with meat because it worries me that the bean burgers are processed so I don’t really know what they are adding and such?

So I have always had veggies in my diet usually broccoli or asparagus and a few others as sides I also add vegetables to my meals like onions and peppers.
Fruit I did use to eat during a cycle but stopped because I was informed I was wasting my time eating any fruit and I haven’t really since that was said to me.

I don’t believe that I could ever go Vegan. I will definitely say though the best cycle I ever had im talking amazing gains my diet didn’t include red meat at all and only chicken here and there I actually ate all seafood as my main protein source and I felt absolutely amazing. I also looked amazing so honestly me eating an all seafood diet really improved my cycle and gains.
You can get it done with just chicken and rice but there are better options that we can take advantage of definitely.

Great post brother

I like how you incorporate both plant and animal. I don’t believe in an extreme either way. Balance is the key. My only issue with. A plant based food they are usually over processed. Look at the ingredients in a plant based burger vs meat burger. They’ve gotta do a heck of a lot of work to make that plant based burger taste descent. So when the average joe tries to go plant based they end up eating a ton of processed foods. Unless you are strained chef it’s really tough to eat a lot of whole food plant based meals, aside from the usual veggies. The way I explain it to people is if you want to eat a carrot, eat a carrot, if you want to eat a burger eat a burger. Again everything in balance and you should never have a problem. Always try to eat good clean Whole Foods. Ie, grass fed beef, free range chicken and where approximate organic veggies. Stay away from all processed foods and you cannot go wrong. Remember not all fruits and vegetables need to be organic.

Exactly. What’s in a grass fed beef burger? Grass fed beef, that’s it. Not so in the processed plant based burgers. Usually lots of soy

That’s my only problem with plant based diet is alot of food is processed. But I also understand there is only so many ways to eat a carrot so making the fake burgers and stuff is a must for maintaining sanity. I’m with @kad about the need to be balanced

It doesn’t have to be like that Wendy’s Magic Burger filled with plant-based bologna I’m talkin about instead of eating that eating some fried Chickpea in a falafel or having a bean burger which again is real organic compound opposed to the Wonder Burger or whatever they call it again opposed to eating meat itself and sticking with plants and whole grains

My understanding is that the cow can walk at least 12 ft in a open space of grass and that’s considered grass-fed

No has to be grass fed from start to finish. Otherwise has to say grain finished. Also depends on where you buy your meat, can you trust it?
