Bench press. Straight up BP. nothing fancy or exotic.

225x 4 for 4 sets. Felt great. Had to pull reigns back. In my head was sets of 8 or blow up to 315…hahaha

Close grip BP to 3 foam blocks 40 reps as fast as possible. Rest pause…took 2 sets.

Thanks. I’m slowly building back after ripping my bicep off at elbow.

We’re bout same age…you know the feeling when the planets are aligned and your “chi” is all straight and you’re feeling great AND you want to act like you’re a young man with nothing to loose… again…then common sense kicks in (thank god) and you think whoa big boy slow down…it’ll come…it’ll come.
 
That describes my mindset perfectly…except that I’m a little less disciplined than you are about calling it when I should. Today, I was good. I did deads and my back started tightening up in a weird way after the second set of 275 and I just said, that’s it, and stopped. Other days, I’m at 345 for 10 and wanting more with ease. But I did not sleep well at all last night, so I kinda knew I was going to suck today.
 
I got no problem saying this at this stage in my life… I’m scared to death of a big injury. One of those at 60 could be catastrophic and life altering… for the worse.
