Hey guys my elbows are starting to flare up, normally it’s usually just one at a time but this time there both getting bad. I really noticed it this morning on the preacher bench. Anyways I’m just looking for some feedback if anyone delt with this, what did you do to ease it, or any info would be appreciated. I’m sure there’s home remedies out there but a quick Google search really pulled up nothing 😒

I’ve been dealing with elbow issues for years. PT was the best solution for me. Tried steroid shots, dry needling, ultra sound, blah, blah…

Elbows are really tricky to fix once they are a mess. That said, steroid shots helped for a few months at a time but over time really screw shit up. Ice, compression, rest. Train to your pain tolerance.

Mine will flare up sometimes with the slightest reach, it happened a few weeks ago and all I did was reach to turn up the volume in truck, anyways this is what I use

It has two metal splints inside that cross two sides of your arm, you can tighten both of them, then it has a Velcro strap you can tighten around your bi. It covers from your bi to almost your wrist. It works wonders. Wasn’t to expensive 50ish I think

I think steroid shots will be my last resort, after work today I’m gonna try to do heat and cold compressions and see how that goes.

Where did you pick that up? I’m gonna have to give this a try, I have elbow sleeves that I use periodically when I lift, they help to an extent.

I have this issue also but only on the right side. I actually found that I have less pain if I get away from barbell bench press and go with dumbbells it helps but honestly it still hurts and I have just gotten used to dealing with it.
Injuries suck 🤬

Hey bro I suffered from this for years. Go see a massage therapist it helps. There’s also a trick with a bicycle tube tire that helps, cut it in half and wrap your elbow as tight as you can for a few minutes a day it helps. Not sure how but it does. Also if it hurts during skull crushers switch to kettle bells learned this from dusty hanshaw. Also follow john meadows methods and it will help. Mine use to be so bad I couldn’t climb a ladder for work without severe pain. Also I forgot about this but I went to a chiropractor years ago and he told me it’s calcium build up. This hurts like a mother fucker but take a spoon and rub it on that bone on the inside of arm (elbow) if that’s where u feel the pain. I almost passed out but it worked after 3 times.

Good luck. And till it gets better avoid things like preacher curls and skull crushers or overhead extensions for tris.

Nice man thanks. Funny you mention skull crushers, I think that’s how they started to get inflamed. The other day I upped my weight by 10lbs. and later that night I noticed the pain in my elbows.

Yup that’s how mine got bad I kept trying to do them. Switch to kettle bells in telling you game change. I can do skull crushers zero pain but I stick with kettle bells mostly because I don’t want to feel that pain again.

Nice, makes sense, thanks for the tip man, gonna try this out tomorrow morning and I’ll report back to see how it goes

Cool keep me posted I know it helped me. It was pretty cool I was able to thank dusty in person. He’s a cool ass dude.

Little updat, last night I iced my elbows for a little then hit em with a heating pad, also put on a little tiger balm before bed. This morning it did feel alot better, I layed off any upper body work this morning and just did legs to give my elbows a little rest. Tomorrow I have arms so we’ll see, I’ll use my elbow sleeves and incorporate kettle balls like @PHD mentioned

Here’s the problem with mine, it’s a quick shooting pain that will go from my inside of elbow towards wrist, then it’s gone, I never know when it’s comin, however at least the pain don’t linger, comes in quick n hard, I don’t even know what it actually is.

Mine is definitely a lingering pain, it’s at the inside of both my elbows, very uncomfortable to say the least. 9 times outta 10 I will usually push through my workouts but yesterday got to the point where I had to stop it was damn near unbearable
