The how your body responds to your meals is huge and way overlooked imo as far as digestion and what not. I used to feed myself stuff that’s “healthy” but man it would irritate my stomach or hinder performance in the gym.
SAME. a detailed food journal probably had a more significant impact in my physique change than just gear. Not going to the gym bloated and gross, or going to sleep bloated etc.
Figuring out what my body responded to best allowed me to sleep better and train harder.
Probably one of the biggest things overlooked. Everyone wants to jump to gear and more and more gear.
My wife competed in figure for almost 15 years. Diet makes ALL the difference, it’s crazy, and figuring out what works for you is like playing chemistry set. She can survive off strict Keto, I wanted to fucking die 3 meals in… nuff said
I can’t do that. It useless for me to even try. I have a friend that does it and he loves it. It’s not a discipline thing for him it’s a preference. Me. I can’t sleep if I don’t have some carbs.
Gentlemen… I feel your pain. Please keep an eye on your blood sugar or you might end up like me counting carbs and battling a1c. It just blows…my wife is a semi pro baker and I hve to schedule a small goodie.
I don’t know how the hell she does it… I can carb cycle, that’s no issue, but dropping them almost completely, if I see a loaf of bread, look the fuck out, I’m eating it

No idea on diet. I know I was way under as I didn’t eat from 11 until 5:30. No lunch no snacks cept after dinner shake. Bad day for rusty.
