Back in action after some life changes. Took a couple months off. let my hernia heal and gave my shoulder a break. Feels a lot better. Kinda took a step back from everything and everyone but I’m back lifting again and feel a lot better with my shoulder. That was the first break in two years of lifting. Gonna be back on here a lot more again like I was
 
There’s lots of shoulder “prehab” movements to try.

For me “YTW’s” and face pulls WITHOUT the ego weight was the game changer.

So was eliminating pull ups with weight.

Moved my bench press grip in AND quit doing max poundage.

Just a few things that helped me.
 
My younger self just showed up in my head…what do you mean no max poundage you broke down old man? Go big or go home!

Present day me: hypertrophy, strength…power are all different things. Yes they intersect at some point but it’s hard to serve more than one master. You can get very big and strong AND develop some power with sub-maximal training weights. Unless you’re competing for something then there’s no reason to redline your training every single session for months on end.
 
Also didn’t gain much weight either sitting around and going to work the last two months. think last time I was at 190 and I’m at about 200. Idk if I want to lean back out then do a bulk cycle or just stay where I’m at. But I was thinking of going with deca
 
Maybe just ease into it and use some sensible sustainable food intake and have fun with it for a while. If I remember correctly, you were hitting it pretty intense for a long period.
