I think yogurt is kind of 2 fold. Sure dairy can add fat that’s difficult to burn off but yogurt in particular offers good benefits for flora in the stomach helping to maintain good digestion. Sure you could forego the yogurt and replace it with a probiotic thoughs
Definitely prefer staying away from diary products if your competition diet. Yogurt as a normal person or someone being healthy is fine but anyone eating like a competitive athlete should def include pre and probiotics in their daily regimen even fiber eating the way we eat takes a toll on the body any boost digesting you can have is def well worth it
