The year of the Comeback!

1000+ total I don’t believe that I have ever been that strong to achieve that I believe that’s a huge accomplishment.

Let me know when you hit 500lb bench and I will add you to the club

@Bigmurph that would be an almost 30 year old wet dream come true, unfortunately I’ve never been a big bencher, mid 300’s was the heaviest it ever got raw, my 600+ lbs squat and DL always got me where I needed to be. If I do hit a 1000 lbs total, I’m going to have to pull over 6, which I still believe is doable with a funky knee and fake hip. I could also lift single ply equipped and bench low 400’s, but would have to DL raw as I’m not sure my hip would take the pressure a deadlifter would put on it, even single ply.

@Dirtnasty you would be amazed at how often that happens. I’ve seen some of the best bench only and full power guys jump the call.

I thought for sure that you were pushing really close to 500lbs bench

Your squat must be heavy 600+?

Dl is usually?

Killing it brother you powerlifters are amazing to me

My best DL was 310 k (682 lbs) in the 220 weight class, and actual body weight at weigh ins was 208, but probably weighed closer to 225 by the time I lifted… best squat at 220 was 290 K (640), and at 242 it wasn’t much heavier. I wanted a 3x body weight squat more than anything in 220, only ever got it in 198 with a 275 k squat (605).
Deadlifts has always been the easiest lift for me to get strong in… squats were always strong too, I was squatting over 400 in 9th grade when everyone else was avoiding the lift and benching, but my squat plateaued for almost 10 years and hovered around the 500 mark in raw lifting, it was frustrating to say the least.

I’m with him dead’s but suck at squats comparably. I’ll get 7 one day though I believe I will have 800 600 700 if I stick to the training right will do my comp in 225kg division

The best thing that helped break my plateau at squats was switching to multi ply equipped lifting for about 2 years… it was a horrible decision, and I always seemed to bomb out in meets, but it allowed me to train with heavier weights, and even though the equipment helps ALOT, it makes your stabilizers stronger and does give some carry over when switching back to raw. My first 600 lbs squat was in an inzer leviathan, and it took me about 3 min to get down to parallel the fucking thing was so tight

Training over the weekend

Yesterday, week 8 day 3 squats and close grips
  • Barbell squats, worked up to 190x6x5, went with a straight bar as I’ve used the Buffalo for 2 weeks again now. After next week I’ll switch to SS yoke I beleive
  • close grip bench, 2x10 @ 155, just working speed and lock out
  • no front squats, not in the spreadsheet today
  • T-Bar rowes, 115 x 10x 5
  • Medium grip Lat Pulldowns, 3x10 @ 190
  • face Pulls 3 x 10 @ 132
Everything felt good, right knee is REALLY tight, need to figure things out, looking into putting collagen into my dietary mix

Today, week 8 day 4, deadlifts and bench
  • deficit pulls (2” deficit) worked up to 275 x 4x 5, no belt
  • pulls from floor, 295 x3x 4, these felt good, but only 65%, so eh.
  • bench, hit 170x10x2, 185x8x2, 200x6x2, 200 were all paused, and my wife got pretty fucking brutal on the press calls! Everything felt good, especially my shoulder and right bicep.
    -RDL’s 160x10x2
Today felt good, my body has been achy lately though after I’ve been stagnant for a while. I’m also contemplating ending my NPP run, but I’m dreading feeling like a fine China doll like I always do when I come off… I’ve never been good at coming off NPP, I usually just up my test to 500-600 mg wk to counter and wait for my body to stop hurting… @Bigmurph , any suggestions?

My suggestion that I don’t know will help but should is hgh. Hgh will help your body heal injuries but it won’t cure injuries.
Npp is pushing water into your joints hgh does this also and it has effects on prolactin also

I would use a long hgh and that should help try it for a kit then if you feel like it’s for you go for atleast 6 months at 2iu at night.

I believe that this will help most older injuries that are lingering.

If that isn’t the way bpc157 and tb500 are what’s smaller than hgh there pieces of the aa chain.

I believe that those 3 choices are best to keep you lifting and get you recovering much faster

@Bigmurph, I’ve been thinking about throwing HGH in, wanted to wait a few more years, but not sure that I can. Thank you for the suggestion. Is anyone else’s mobile site looking different from earlier today? What gives??

It’s got hearts instead of thumbs up too, and the colors seem different
