Thunder Log

In my reading and researching kidney health I was under the understanding that plant based protein was easier on your system and specifically the kidney

less than a gallon drink up.
@Thunder@Neuro is giving you sage advice. You’re a big guy and work hard you need water! You’re probably dehydrated way more than you think.

For comparison… I’m 190 and fly a desk 9 hours a day. I do stay busy around the yard. One and half gallons a day is about normal for me on a light day. Usually close to 2 gallons. Keeps everything hydrated and kidneys flushed.

You’ll be surprised at your labs and how much better you feel fully hydrated.

Absolutely agree with basically anything neuro says medically related…

More water

In other news, the purple palace closed at 9 pm ?
Gym in the morning

To be honest I don’t know shit about plant protein other than it fucks my stomach up and I wouldn’t eat that fake meat shit if you paid me.

Macros discussion.

If it were you what would you target at?
Dirt said at least 200 protein a day.
Trying to stay away from rice and pasta as much as possible because I love them so much but I also love green veggies. Everything but canned spinach 🤮
Needs some thought/discussion on fats
Thank you in advance

@Thunder

I’ve got an opinion/theory that I’ve always had… I very well might be incorrect.

I’ve always thought that real big guys like you and @Dirtnasty “need” a bit more of certain things and little guys like me at ~200lbs need less than you guys…. I also believe that regular ole big guys like @BBSQ5 and @Neuro need somewhere in the middle. Certainly more than me but less than the 300 lb plus guys.

follow me on this….you’re trying to hydrate a body that is almost twice the size of me. In my head, that just makes sense that you would need extra hydration… let alone if your daily activities require way more than a desk job. I also believe that goes for drugs. Why would a guy my size need the level of peds that @Dirtnasty needs? He’s a hundred pounds heavier than me.

The protein ratios by body weight @Neuro stated above are pretty much proven out and time tested. But hydration and peds aren’t as universal in thinking… if they are, then I’m unaware.

Also, everyone is different. @Neuro can ingest lots of carbs and keep lean. @Dirtnasty can ingest lots of carbs and add weight “overnight”… I’m in that boat… I can add 20 pounds in a couple of weeks if I’m not careful.

I will say that whatever you did for your initial huge weight loss worked, apparently. Maybe contemplate duplicating that effort unless it started to wane. Then you’ll have to make adjustments.

I do know that the premade meals are convenient but expensive and require some studying so that you’re getting what YOU need.

I’m thinking that food prep might be your friend. Take every Sunday afternoon and spend a couple of hours prepping your weeks meals so that it’s grab and go.
