Trestolone Acetate, also called MENT, until recently has been flying under the radar. With the increase of availability in raw materials, usually from China, many underground labs have been producing it. Trestolone is beginning to gain popularity as more and more people are beginning to venture out and have started using it. Most of the attraction is the unheard of anabolic-androgenic ratio of this compound. On paper trestolone has a ratio of 2300-650. Which means it is 23X more andabolic than Testosterone and 6.5X more androgenic. In comparison to another very powerful steroid on paper, Trenbolone, with a anabolic-androgenic rating of 500-500 it even fails to compare to the anabolic rating of Trestolone.
Just looking at this steroid on paper you can see the attraction that it would have to those who are looking to put on massive amounts of muscle. Information on this particular steroid is scarce and most of what we know and can learn from it comes in the form of anecdotal evidence and experiences of other individuals. But does the actual rating of this steroid express itself in actual results? To answer this question we first need to look at the history and structure of this steroid.
Trestolone, also known as 7α-methyl-19-nortestosterone (MENT), is an experimental androgen/anabolic steroid (AAS) and progestogen medication which has been under development for potential use as a form of hormonal birth control for men and in androgen replacement therapy for low testosterone levels in men but has never been marketed for medical use. It is given as an implant that is placed into fat. As trestolone acetate, an androgen ester and prodrug of trestolone, the medication can also be given by intramuscular injection.
Trestolone was first described in 1963. Subsequently, it was not studied again until 1990. Development of trestolone for potential clinical use started by 1993 and continued thereafter. No additional development appears to have been conducted since 2013. The medication was developed by the Population Council, a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to reproductive health.
Belonging to the 19-nor family of steroids, Trestolone is classed as 7-alpha-methyl-nortestosterone. Despite its close association to this class of steroids, Trestolone more closely resembles characteristics commonly associated to testosterone. Specifically in the area of male sexual functioning. Anyone familiar to steroids is well aware of the all to common negative side effects that the 19-nor family of steroids can cause in sexual dysfunction. Side effects such as low libido and inability to get an erection.
This is where Trestolone breaks new ground of the other 19-nor family of steroids. Trestolone is the only steroid in existence that is capable of sustaining normal male physiology in the complete absence of testosterone, including sexual functioning.
This rewrites the belief that testosterone should be included as part of any cycle set-ups. Trestolone changes all of that and now allows testosterone to be an optional inclusion into the cycle set-up. All the side effects that are normally present in the absence of testosterone do not exist when Trestolone is part of the cycle set-up.
Trestolone has a very strong affinity for the AR receptor. Greater than that of Testosterone and Nandrolone. Trestolone has the ability to aromatize and in personal experience this happens quickly and much stronger than even higher doses of testosterone. This makes having access to and utilizing a AI imperative if not mandatory. Estrogen plays a part in muscle growth process both directly and indirectly. This is why aromatizable steroids often provide more muscle gains compared to their non-aromatizing counterparts. Trestolone benefits can quickly be turned into a negative quality if an individual does not properly control the aromatizing effects of this steroid, like: gynecomastia, water retention, increases in blood pressure, increased HPTA suppression, mood swings, and the accumulation of additional body fat.
Another characteristic of Trestolone is that it does NOT convert to DHT like so many testosterone derivative steroids. It also does NOT bind to sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG), increasing the potency of this steroid. When injecting steroids like testosterone over 90-95% of the injectable steroid ends up attaching itself to SHBG, converting to DHT or converting to estrogen, leaving only a very small percentage remaining for actual muscle growth. This is where Trestolone has rewritten these processes.
Trestolone is 12X more suppressive than testosterone. This suppression is deemed to be a necessary benefit when looking to develop this drug as a male birth control medication.
Every one of us are probably not interested in any thing that was typed above. What we are looking for is ‘how much muscle will this stuff put on’. Since there are so many variables this question is impossible to answer on an individual basis. Trestolone delivers 10X more myotropic effect of testosterone. Myotropic effect is the effect of building muscle. Making trestolone more effective in building muscle than any other steroid in existence. In fact, trestolone out performs trenbolone by a whopping 250% in this area.
The reality is that no one should expect that trestolone included in a cycle set-up will provide 10X the muscle building capacity of testosterone. Rarely, if ever, does what we see on paper get reflected in actual results. Nevertheless this steroid is more potent mg per mg than testosterone and even trenbolone.
Although in my experience Trestolone (MENT) expresses it self similar to testosterone these effects are more exaggerated. Particularly when it comes to estrogen conversion. I found that with proper and proactive use of an AI that it was manageable without more aggressive intervention.
When comparing the side effects to trenbolone I will say that Trestolone is not even on the same page as trenbolone. No night sweats, no trouble sleeping, no aggression, etc.
If I could describe Trestolone (MENT) using testosterone and trenbolone as an example I would say it carries, excluding estrogen conversion, the best of both without the worst of each.
Personal experienced effects-
If you do ever choose to use this steroid I recommend that you do not have false expectations based on its anabolic-androgenic ratio because it is not like what the title says ‘The Ultimate Bodybuilding Steroid’.
When purchasing Trestolone Acetate I highly recommend using one of get.jackedforums.com’s verified sponsors. This steroid is expensive and with most expensive compounds they are quickly counterfeited or replaced with other steroids to reap the benefit of taking the unsuspecting for a ride. Primobolan and Anavar are perfect examples of this is practice.
Good luck and I hope this provides you with a better understanding of Trestolone (MENT).
