Hi warriors!!!

I wanted to post my stats and pics and give you a little more info about me and the journey.

34 years old

US Marine who did four years (Forward Observer) 2nd Battalion 8th Marines.
(Deployed to Afghan twice, both combat zones).

Now selling real estate, in the sunshine state.

Currently:
5’7 3/4
177lbs

Goal is to maintain 185-190lbs. I was here and then I broke 6th & 7th ribs last year as bench press of 250lbs fell on chest, as right wrist gave out. Haven’t been able to bounce back as of yet on bench.

Caloric intake is about 2500-3000 per day and that is my underlying issue. I just feel like I’m not eating enough and there are times where I have this weak feeling…

Not sure if its hypoglycemic as I don’t get shaky and feel as if I’m going to pass out but I just have a feeling of Im walking around the house and just feel weak. So I need to work in that area.

Diet: Rice, Eggs, Fish, Chicken, Steak (BIG FAN OF WILD GAMEY MEAT) Asparagus, Broccoli, potatoes, oatmeal, grits, water, orange juice, (I urinate often)

No candy, no sweets besides fruits. I am extremely disciplined to my diet.

As far as exercises, Im into power-lifting/ Olympic lifts.

I usually do an 8 week block to focus and improve in certain areas.

Lastly as of now Im clean not on the sauce at all. Gonna let things relax for a bit.

So we’ll start things off when I was 196lbs!!! 6% body-fat

Excuse the hot-dogs… (lol!!)

So this was 196lbs, June of 2019.

I wasn’t really happy with the way I looked here. I thought I was a little too big for my height. As again I stand at 5’7 3/4 and it just didn’t look right so I wanted to cut down a little.

Also this was somewhat of an experiment for me, as our bodies react differently to these compounds.

Cycle literally consisted of

*Anavar Week 1-6

*Tren Hex Week 6-12

*Anavar Week 12-16

** Clomid

I felt amazing around week 8, no rage or anything like that. I’ve actually never had rage as people speak of.

Night sweats, tren dick and I broke out pretty bad due to the oily skin. I had it bad in center of chest and all over back. I’ve since then found the proper dosage in order to not break out. Those are really my only cons. Everything else was fantabulous!! but the zits really got to me man. I didn’t wanna take the shirt off even though my physique was on another level here.

The Day I Broke My Ribs

March 10th 2019…

I was at the gym as it was chest day and I was in the middle of pressing 250lbs flat bench.

I got it up once, then twice, and the third rep, I said to myself “why does this feel heavy I do this all the time, whatever lets do 2 more and get it over with”

I got the 4th one up with a bit of a shake as it was now getting heavy, BUT I knew I had more in me.

So I prepared to do the last one, I got it up and was about to lock out and my right wrist wiggled and gave out. The bar fell on my chest, bounced up and dropped back down. Spotter was there but was conversing with a female which is why he couldn’t catch it as this act took merely seconds.

I couldn’t breathe, I had to catch my breath, I literally couldn’t talk at all. I was trying to talk but literally nothing was coming out. I just had to sit for a few seconds and just relax.

After about 2/3 minutes (that felt like forever) I was finally able to kinda talk and breathe and get air out. It hurt like hell but it was more-so the fact that I couldn’t breathe.

I was very angry as I was maxing 405lbs flat bench at the time and just couldn’t understand how this happened. I tried to finish my workout but it hurt to bad so I went home.

Took some Tylenol and went to bed… Woke up to go to work and DAAAAAMMMMNNNNN that shit was waaayyy worse hahahahahah.

I couldn’t get out of bed, couldn’t cough, couldn’t laugh, couldn’t wipe my ass, couldn’t do anything!!!

7 days later, I said fuck this shit and went to the V.A. and they said "sir, yeah, you broke your 6th and 7th ribs and you’re gonna be out for 8-12 weeks. I literally got teary eyed in the damn VA hospital as at that point I knew what I had worked for was in severe jeopardy.

IMG_1138

I actually got a little depressed as I had worked extremely hard to get to that point. I really pushed myself and was relentless as far as pursuing my goals as an athlete. This shit really fucked me up man. So these next few pics are after the broken ribs, you’ll clearly see a difference in size.

IMG_1821

This was about four weeks post broken ribs. Not as ripped, not as hard, not as vascular, this was 187lbs. So at this point I had lost 8lbs, and I still couldn’t really move around, I could walk and do things softly but any fast abrupt movement was very painful.

IMG_5415

Here I was around 184-187lbs range as well. I don’t look hard at all, but I feel like I look strong and full rather than the flat look. I actually like this look and once the pain began to subside I really wanted to focus on maintaining this size but with more definition.
IMG_4257

So this is when I began to do just that. More definition in the core area, the serratus looks good but could be more visible. Obliques, could also pop a bit more and a tad bit of separation in the muscles and more striations.

Leg Press Injury/ Freak Accident

IMG_4536D

(These pics were night before leg press injury and I was 184.6lbs)

Im at the gym everything is fine, I’ve been training and doing well since I broke my ribs and we’re past that incident. I’m now planning on doing a few bodybuilding shows and I wanted to enter some power-lifting events, if I felt my body was ready by that time.

Im doing leg press on leg day and I have 2 plates on each side to warm up. That’s 180lbs, I go 1st rep, 2nd rep, 3rd rep and I felt a pop in my lower back. Not a disc like pop, but like a tendon tear type of pop.

I couldn’t push the weight up as my spotter had to help me. Then I couldn’t stand, I had to roll over to get out of the leg press machine. I’m thinking what the hell is going on I’ve done this a million times how does this happen!!!

I had to lay on the floor for a while because I couldn’t stand up. Had to call my wife to pick me up from the gym because I couldn’t walk as my back hurt to bad to take steps.

Went to the VA immediately the next day and they did x-rays and a few other test and nothing was broken. I had pulled my lower longissimus thoracis as and my sacrum had somehow shifted which explained the pain in my hips.

So that caused another 10-16 weeks of no training.

I suffer from PTSD, TBI, and depression so the one thing that makes me very happy is my family and the gym. The gym is my time to get away and do me, and forget about everything. So I was very bothered internally when I couldn’t go.

Not diagnosed but I think I also suffer from body dysmorphia as all I see is what needs to be improved rather than saying “hey man you’ve been working hard, and you look good as shit”.

I’ve been this way since I was a kid watching He-Man, and ThunderCats.

I wasn’t able to do anything but lay on my ice pad and stretch. It was bad, once again I couldn’t wipe my ass. I could barely get in the shower, it was just very debilitating.

So I lost exactly 8lbs and here we are at 177lbs.

A’lot more ripped at 177lbs, Im still pretty strong at this weight as well.

My current numbers are as followed:

Flat Bench: 365lbs
Squat: Havent maxed since back incident but feel comfortable repping 315lbs X 10
Front Squat: 280lbs
Dead-Lift: 450lbs
Cling & Jerk: 205lbs
Flat Bench 225lbs: 24 reps

(Have videos as proof of all lifts but don’t know how to blur face on video or I would upload)

I’ve never gotten injured in sports, I played from ages 8-28 football, baseball, track, weigt-lifting, boxing, bodybuilding, power-lifting. I’ve never been injured besides Marines.

It seems now that I’m nearing the mid 30’s all these pains have all of a sudden appeared. My knees hurt, my elbows, these freak accident injuries. It can be hard to deal with at times.

I hope to put on a few pounds with the next cycle, as the goal is a solid physique at 185lbs.

Thank you for reading warriors, this was a bit about me and my journey thus far.

Please give me feedback on posing, the physique itself, how I can become more full, my symmetry, vascularity, striations, strength, training and much more. I hope to get to know you all better, and I already truly feel a apart of this niche community.

Semper-Kill warriors!!!

Apologies for any grammatical errors and ugly posing, still working on it. 😉

Welcome. I didn’t start collecting injuries until my 30s either, so I know your pain. Don’t even get me started on elbows…

Good intro bro. Good work too. Sucks about the injuries. I know how that goes as we get older. You have a set time frame you are going to compete?

Welcome !! Great intro !! You may want to add hgh and Deca into your regiment as it could help out with any old injuries / and keep your joints lubricated to help prevent any new injuries or strain from heavy lifting.

@TG I was really wanting to compete this year on stage at a few NPC national qualifiers to see what happens.

The plan was to compete on stage in the beginning of the year and fall time frame I wanted to begin prepping for powerlifting meet.

Change of plans now due to covid and the a couple set backs.

I’ll just take the time to try and get stronger and better.

I’ve heard of HGH, in the past for the joints, never considered it, gonna look further into it now.

I’ve been on this site for a little bit just ordering gear. Now I’ve decided get in on the conversations.

So question everyone.

Most would say a 200lbs PLUS man is a decent sized man.

What do you all say about a man my size, at 5’7 177-180.

Do you still see that as being somewhat small???

I’d like to maintain a 185-190lbs frame.

Frank Zane, won Mr Olympia, at 190lbs and he looked good as hell on stage, but he also didn’t look ridiculously jacked by any means.

Zane is also 5’9/5’10ish…

I welcome you. You have a great base. Do not mind fuck yourself. Stay healthy and jump on stage. 99% never do because there’s some weird thinking over the years, " I gotta be 209" I gotta bring by rear left felt up!" I gotta get real Nilevar!" Bbing is very much an illusion and if you get with someone you trust and just listen to one person for the rest of the year and compete when all the social stuff settles. Just practicing posing will make a huge difference! From just the pics and posts, I’d like to see you at like 192-195 then diet down to whatever for your first show. Middleweight could be totally possible. When I say that I mean completely peeled. I think it’s still 176.4. At 177, right now you look lean but not ready for the stage. Next, get you supplements in order and you’ll notice that 190 to 196 will be a much different look. With a 6 month “off-season” of bbing or power building, stay injury free and combine some good AAS and food, you’ll be good to go. I hear you on the mental health side. I thought a pretty hard 280 was not big enough. This is getting long…i did both powerlifting and bbing at a decent level. Love powerlifting comraderie but it’s confusing with the raw, 2 ply 3 ply steel bench shirts…bbing well i love it, but it was andbim sure still is crazy, but your grounded at 34. If you go 181 you gotta get the total up… I think bbing , physique your well on your way. If you ever have questions reach out. In my old age ive calmed down a bit. I always had to win. Have fun. Most of us felt like shit the day of the show. Good luck. Checkout PHD, he’s an ok bber and trains guys. Kick some ass!

Look. At I’m guessing you’re at 9% BF? I bet if anyone seen you would guess you are a 200 pounder minimum. Frank Zane looked 225-230 at his win at Mr O even Arnold looked heavier on stage because of his muscular development. I’m 6’4” it takes a ton of work to look big. Short guys pack it on better and look fuller. You look great Marine!

@rnmuscle @TBU @NeuroRN

Thank you so much for the feedback Warriors!!

My BIGGEST problem is my mentality.

I’m gonna take the advice of you advanced lifters and focus on health and try to be happy.

I have a habit of seeing what needs to be improved rather than seeing progression.

Also that was a fucking great line, you have to fall in love with the pursuit of progression.

Damn that line was hard as shit!!!

@rnmuscle thank you for taking the time to jot down your thoughts and reply. Means a lot my brother that was long and well thought out.

Thank you my brother, sincerely…
