Anyone have a favorite brand they’ve been happy with?

I haven’t used a belt in like 10years, but now that I’m doing strongman training I wanted to get one for log presses at least.

Just wondering if anyone has found one brand or style better than the others as far as comfort and durability.

I’ve gone rogue. I pretty much have all their stuff belt. Knee sleeves. Wrist wraps. Elbow sleeves. I love them. Here’s my belt.

Those are some nice belts! I do need some knee and elbow sleeves, but man it’s hard to fork over that kinda money on it, perhaps I’ll save up a bit before ordering.

Better to pay top dollar and have it for 10 plus years than to go cheap and replace every 2. I live my gear from them. And it’s quality. But that’s me. I’m sure others are passionate about where they got their stuff too.

Problem is I told my son I’d buy him one too, so going to have to double the price.

Damn kids.

Well you can get a high quality for you and beginner for him… 😀

Pioneer makes Rogues belts. They have some that are cheaper also. But definitely high quality.

I recently bought a belt and wrist wraps from a newer company called Stoic. For the price (belt was $70) the quality is very good so far. I found them on Amazon

I use inzer knee wraps that are like a mile long and my old inzer latch belt for heavy lifting just old habit I guess what I’ve used over the years and it works for me I’m pretty flexible with wrist wraps as long as they stay on I try not to wear them all the time

Buy something 13 mm thick, my personal preference is a double prong belt rather than a single or lever belt… remember, the belt is just a tool to push your abdominal wall off of, when you clasp it, you should be able to stick your finger between it and your gut… that way you have room to expand your abdominal wall when you fill your belly with air. Also, try turning your belt around for deadlifts and wear it higher, like right under your diaphragm, as opposed to right at your belly button for squats or anything like that.

Spot on. Watching dudes wrench on a belt I’m like it’s not a fucking corset dude. Me. I like the lever action. Just cuz it’s set and I like the way it feels. People look at me at my gym like I’m crazy when I put my belt on high. Then after I squat or DL they ask for a tip or two. 😂

I know I throw this around a lot, but as a retired lifter, I’ve had the opportunity to talk to some of the best at different meets. I’ve had conversations with Ernie Lilliebridge Sr, Jim Grandick and a hand full of other guys who lifted out of Big Iron in Omaha, and worked out with some elite lifters out of the gym I used to train at… I had a very good opportunity to pick a lot of guys brains on why they do what they do… it won’t always work for everyone, but I was lucky enough to find what worked for me… I see all the brotards at the gym pulling their belt so fucking tight their fat rolls over the top and everything above their waist turns purple because of their circulation being cut off… it’s like they’re practicing occlusive training for everything above their waist when they squat… it hurts me to watch. I try to give advice, but I’m just the broken asshole that is 3 months out from hip replacement surgery, what the fuck do I know?? I’d prefer not to see anyone end up injured.

Wow thanks for the advice! I never knew about turning the belt around and wearing it higher.

I’ll admit, growing up in a small town I never had people to bounce questions off of and learn, all before the internet really took off, got all my info from books and watching Lee Haney on TV lol.

Thanks for all the info guys!

Well ordered a custom belt from pioneer. Custom dye job and getting a laser etched pic on the back, gonna be bad ass. Ordered my son a belt he got his as it wasn’t custom, nice belt, and should last him a long time.

Can’t wait to get mine in!!! Did go 13mm thickness/4" belt/double prong. Dropped a cool 280 on it but will be worth it!
