Layers brother. First layer is a tight shirt and pants that are for cold weather then multiple layers after that. Cotton is your enemy. Wool is the best and then synthetic. You can always shed layers but you can’t add them. Your feet need to be loose in whatever is on them because the circulation is bad in feet as soon as your body detects cold.

@John how long do you let your strips of meat marinate in cure and spices before you dehydrated them. For jerky.

I got a mix of cure and seasoning I get from Cabelas, mix the two together with venison about a day to 36 hours then put in dehydrator around 7-10 hours depending on my cuts

Ok. So let it soak for around day and half before dehydration. It’s been a while since I’ve done this. Thanks bro!!

No problem. My buddy just started doin it to, one thing I will point out is, when it’s done, let it air dry and cool off, I even rub mine with paper towels, if you put it in a bag right away, it will get condensation and get moldy if you don’t eat quickly.
