What actually is natty in bodybuilding?
Does it mean they follow WADA guidelines?

Do peptides fall under natty or not?

Does True TRT Count?

I’m interested in everyone’s thoughts?

Whewwww big question!

I recently read an opinion piece on trt being considered “doping”. The guy had a good argument. If a 60 something year old wants to compete in their age bracket then they should be 100% natty… if taking test to bring their levels up, then compete in the open class with the younger folks with the same test levels.

Of course he didn’t address aches/pains/impingments/bone loss…etc etc…everything else that comes along with the aging process… throwing out the unicorns.

Decades ago I read the NCAA list of banned substances and it was ridiculous. They had the most mundane OTC stuff on there.

I think most would draw the line at anything that directly increases “performance” but that leaves things like BPC out there that definitely improve recovery time…

I’m pretty sure whey protein and creatine was on the banned substance list for NCAA back in the day.

My personal thoughts on natty is that natty is when you're completely within natural range.

Medical cases do exist and if everyone can stay within the same test range then its fine.

I think if you take peptides then you're not natty. As far as the banned substances list it's crazy. Look at Ryan Garcias fight and what he tested positive for. We all know at that dosage of it in a supplement would not have given him the edge to win so easily.

You are correct. Way back there was actual caffeine levels that could get you dq’d. it was insane.

To go waaayyyy off the rails… im of the opinion that all peds should be in play. No different than engineered food, vitamins etc…

That or ban everything and make all athletes live off of mcdonalds and beer! Hahaha that will level the field a bit.

What about the athletes that get stem cells in the offseason?
There's athletes that have accredited stem cell treatments gave them the edge to win events. Since it's not available to everyone easily I would say not natty. Should it be banned? Nah I think make it more available and do what's needed to bring the cost down across the board.

Agreed… I would be first in line for stem cell treatments!!!!

It’s proven to work. If I ever hit the big powerball… that’s on my list .

On other forums they say the treatment cost is down to several thousand in Mexico!

I would love some! I agree it’s not natty, but if I was any kind of pro I’d push to make the organization pay for my annual treatments.

I guess we should then pose the official question of What is natty in bodybuilding?
I’m of the opinion that it doesn’t exist. Sure there’s some unicorns out there but I am pretty sure the actual competitors are not “lifetime “ natty.

Big cycles for years then completely off for a year only makes you “currently” natty if there’s such a thing. If so than I’m natty between my gh injections and/or for 3-4 days between my test dosing. Hahaha

The first guy I bought steroids from in my gym when I was younger walked around in a shirt that said "Natural Bodybuilder" and competed in natty events. He for sure wasn't natty lol.

There’s a youtube video floating around that shows dudes competing in bbing that have the worst genetics. It’s obvious they’re on the sauce and the end result was terrible. It’s titled something like “when steroids and bad genetics cross” or something like that.
