Since hurricane florence… I cashed in a kidney $$$$ and installed a giant generator that will power the whole house. That translates to we haven’t lost power for any length of time since.

My parents did that when they built a house in 2006. Just in time for 3 hurricanes in 2008. My dad swore it was worth every penny.

Trying to explain to baby girl how I grew up in Michigan with all that weather. I took wife and her out tooling around in truck looking at it. No plows so it was interesting. Lots of ice under the snow. The restaurants were open but Walmart was closed. That doesn’t happen often.

Have you ever seen the Waffle House index or something like that. They use it for hurricanes a lot. The news tracks the Waffle House closings for the track of the hurricanes. Hahaha

I have! Shit is crazy! If you see a Waffle House boarded up and you’re in the path of a hurricane it’s time to leave for sure!
